摘要: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for using an assistance information framework to perform fast carrier aggregation and dual connectivity configuration. A wireless device may provide assistance information for determining a carrier aggregation or dual connectivity configuration to a cellular base station. The assistance information may be provided while establishing a radio resource control connection. The assistance information may include either or both of carrier aggregation or dual connectivity preference information for the wireless device or service data amount information for the wireless device. The cellular base station may select a carrier aggregation or dual connectivity configuration for the wireless device based on the assistance information, and may provide configuration information for the selected configuration to the wireless device.

摘要: A method and system to dynamically reassign RF spectrum from a first access node to a second access node, where the first access node provides service on a first carrier having a carrier bandwidth. An example method includes (i) selecting a frequency portion of the carrier bandwidth to reassign, the selecting being based on the frequency portion having higher determined noise than one or more other frequency portions of the carrier bandwidth, and (ii) based on the selecting, reassigning the selected frequency portion from the first access node to the second access node to be used by the second access node as at least part of a second carrier on which to provide service. Upon reassigning of the selected frequency portion, the second access node could then provide service on the reassigned portion and the first access node could continue to provide service on a remainder of the first carrier.

摘要: With advanced compute capabilities and growing convergence of wireless standards, there is requirement to run multiple wireless standards, e.g., 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi, on a single hardware together. Typical solution includes reserving some computing resources for specific wireless standards. Such a resource strategy may not be optimized or efficient according to the real needs for various wireless standards. The present disclosure presents embodiments of using a unified resource controller to take multiple scheduling inputs across various wireless standards, allocate resources among a plurality of configurable processing units, and manage hardware components for data path accelerations including forward error correction, and signal processing implementation. The multiplexing multiple wireless technologies based on spectral utilization may improve the efficiency in power consumption and hardware resources utilization.

摘要: Some embodiments provide a method for performing radio access network (RAN) functions in a cloud at a user-level tracing application that executes on a machine deployed on a host computer in the cloud. The method receives data, via a RAN intelligent controller (RIC), from a RAN component. The method uses the received data to generate information related to traffic performance for at least one user. The method provides the generated information to the RIC.

The method also includes scheduling transmissions of the first and second access points into the plurality of time slots according to the determination whether the first and second access points should communicate simultaneously over the shared channel and communicating, to the second access point and over a wired network or a second network different from the first network, an indication of whether the second access point should communicate during a first time slot of the plurality of time slots.

The wireless base station receives allocation of a first wireless channel from a communication management resource. 摘要: Load balancing for saturated wireless may be provided. A computing device may determine that an Access Point (AP) has reached a saturation point. A first Service Device (SD) having a first SD coverage area that overlaps an AP coverage area associated with the AP may be identified. Then a license to operate within a frequency spectrum segment for the first SD coverage area may be obtained. A plurality of user devices may be moved from the AP to the first SD. The first SD may then service the plurality of user devices using at least a portion of the frequency spectrum segment.
