The plasticizer has low odor, has good compatibility with a variety of polymers such as hydrophilic polymeric materials, and can be formed from renewable resources. Further, the plasticizer can be used at temperatures often encountered during hot melt processing of polymeric compositions.

摘要： A pressure-sensitive adhesive is provided including an emulsion polymer containing a (meth)acrylate copolymer and nanocrystalline cellulose. The inclusion of the nanocrystalline cellulose results in an increase in the overlap shear properties of the adhesive while maintaining the peel adhesion. Articles and emulsions including the pressure-sensitive adhesive are also provided.

In one embodiment, the pressure sensitive adhesive composition is a syrup or the reaction product of a syrup comprising i) a free-radically polymerizable solvent monomer; and ii) a solute (meth)acrylic polymer The syrup or the (meth)acrylic solute polymer comprises polymerized units derived from the cross-linking monomer. Also described are pressure sensitive adhesive articles and methods.

摘要： A film is described comprising a (meth)acrylic polymer and a polyvinyl acetal (e.g. butyral) resin. In some embodiments, the film has a glass transition temperature (i.e. Tg) ranging from 30° C. to 60° C. In some embodiments, the film has a gel content of at least 20% or greater. In some embodiments, the film has an elongation at break of at least 175%. The film typically comprises photoinitiator as a result of the method by which the film was made. The film may be a monolithic film or a layer of a multilayer film.

摘要： A multifunctional polymerizable ionic liquid is described comprising an anion and a cationic group having at least two ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable groups, each bonded to the cationic group via a divalent non-alkyl linking group. The multifunctional linking groups independently comprise a heteroatom such as oxygen or nitrogen. The linking groups may independently comprise one or more linkages such as an amide, urea, and more typically a urethane or ester linkage. The ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable groups are typically (meth)acrylate groups. Coatings and coated articles are also described.
