摘要： A diagnostic apparatus for an internal combustion engine, comprising an adjusting device for adjusting a burning condition, a correction device for estimating or detecting an input or an output to and from the internal combustion engine so as to correct at least one of a throttle opening degree, a fuel injection pulse width, a fuel injection timing, an ignition timing and an exhaust gas recirculation quantity, a recording device for recoding a controlled correction value from the correction device at every predetermined time, and a fuel consumption evaluation means for evaluating a fuel consumption of the engine, being based upon the recorded data or log data as to the recorded data, wherein a deterioration of fuel consumption caused by an abnormality of the engine can been soon detected with no affection by an operating condition of the engine and unevenness of component parts.

The device determines a target A/F based on a signal corresponding to a requested engine output value and a signal representing a driving condition of the engine, determines a requested intake air flow of a cylinder of the engine based on the signal representing a driving condition of the engine and the target A/F, and determines control values for opening and closing operation of an intake valve based on the requested intake air flow and the target A/F. The control values include at least one of a valve opening timing, a valve opening time and a maximum valve lifting amount of the intake valve. Electric driving signals are generated according to the control values.

摘要： A surface mountable connector to be mounted on a printed substrate has a plurality of connector pins projecting from the rear surface to be connected with wiring patterns on the printed substrate through a connector pin holder. The connector pin holder has a plurality of through holes at a pitch equal to that of the connector pins and a plurality of conductive patterns on the outside thereof corresponding to the through holes. The connector pins are inserted into the through holes in the connector holder and electrically connected to the conductive patterns corresponding to the through holes respectively, and the connector pin holder is placed on the wiring patterns on the printed substrate with the conductive patterns on the outer surface connected to the wiring patterns on the surface of the printed substrate by soldering, thereby electrically connecting the tip of each connector pin to a corresponding wiring pattern on the surface of the printed substrate.

摘要： Control device of an internal combustion engine that determines whether or not to perform sensor element heating control of an air-fuel ratio sensor with high accuracy based on the mass of condensed water in an exhaust pipe. The control device computes the rate of change of condensed water mass in an exhaust pipe based on the saturated water vapor pressure and the water vapor partial pressure of exhaust gas, and computes the rate of change of evaporation mass in the exhaust pipe based on the amount of heat which the condensed water receives in the exhaust pipe. The control device updates the mass of condensed water based on the rate of change of condensed water mass and the rate of change of evaporation mass, and determines whether or not to perform heating control by a heating controlling unit based on the updated mass of condensed water.
