摘要: Generally, the present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for streaming processing within one or more systems of an autonomy computing system. When an update for a particular object or region of interest is received by a given system, the system can control transmission of data associated with the update as well as a determination of other aspects by the given system. For example, the system can determine based on a received update for a particular aspect and a priority classification and/or interaction classification determined for that aspect whether data associated with the update should be transmitted to a subsequent system before waiting for other updates to arrive.

摘要: Example embodiments described herein involve determining three dimensional data representative of an environment for an autonomous vehicle using radar. An example embodiment involves receiving radar reflection signals at a radar unit coupled to a vehicle and determining an azimuth angle and a distance for surfaces in the environment causing the radar reflection signals. The embodiment further involves determining an elevation angle for the surfaces causing the radar reflection signals based on phase information of the radar reflection signals and controlling the vehicle based at least in part on the azimuth angle, the distance, and the elevation angle for the surfaces causing the plurality of radar reflection signals. In some instances, the radar unit is configured to receive radar reflection signals using a staggered linear array with one or multiple radiating elements offset in the array.

摘要: A host vehicle has an automatic brake control that is executed for avoiding contact between the host vehicle and a pedestrian upon detecting a pedestrian is present in a forward position of the host vehicle using a front camera and a radar. In a driving assist control method, upon detecting an object in front of the host vehicle to be a pedestrian candidate based on an image signal from the front camera), execution of an automatic brake control is permitted with the detected pedestrian candidate as the control target. Thereafter, determining by comparison whether or not the pedestrian candidate detected by the front camera matches an object detected by the reflected waves from the millimeter wave radar. Execution of the automatic brake control is continued or stopped based on the result of the comparison determination.

摘要: Example highway detection systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a method receives data from a vehicle data bus in a first vehicle and detects a speed of the first vehicle based on the received data. The method also determines a speed of an oncoming vehicle and a lateral distance between the first vehicle and the oncoming vehicle based on the received data. One or more processors determine whether the first vehicle is driving on a highway based on the speed of the first vehicle, the speed of the oncoming vehicle, and the lateral distance between the first vehicle and the oncoming vehicle.

摘要: Compensation for an effect of lane grooves in a roadway on driving behavior of a vehicle is performed, wherein lane grooves are detected by a device designed for this purpose such as a stereo camera. Information regarding a character of the lane grooves is transmitted to a control device, and control commands are transmitted by the control device to a steering device of the vehicle, or to actuators of vehicle wheels, in order to counteract the effect of the lane grooves on the driving behavior.

摘要: A moving apparatus includes a moving unit, an operation unit, a detector, and a controller. The moving unit moves to a destination point. The operation unit performs a predetermined operation after movement of the moving unit. The detector detects an obstacle. The controller controls the detector to make a detection distance in an opposite direction to a moving direction of the moving apparatus shorter during the movement of the moving unit than during the operation of the operation unit.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to autonomous commercial vehicles. In one aspect, the disclosure provides a method for controlling a commercial highway vehicle. The method includes detecting a failure of a first component based on a first signal from a first sensor. The method also includes classifying, by an automated driving system on the vehicle, a severity of the component failure. The method further includes determining to stop the vehicle if the severity exceeds a threshold severity level. The method also includes determining an emergency stopping distance based on the severity and a current momentum of the vehicle. The method further includes determining a stopping location within the emergency stopping distance. The method also includes stopping the vehicle at the stopping location. The present disclosure also provides an autonomous commercial vehicle and an emergency control system for performing the method.

摘要: Example wind detection systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a method receives data from a vehicle-mounted sensor and determines whether airborne particles are identified in the received data. If airborne particles are identified in the received data, the method determines a wind speed and a wind direction based on movement of the airborne particles and determines a best action to avoid or mitigate the impact of the wind.
