摘要: A distributed computing system for determining road surface traction capacity for roadways located in a common spatio-temporal zone includes a plurality of vehicles that each include a plurality of sensors and systems that collect and analyze a plurality of parameters related to road surface conditions in the common spatio-temporal zone. The distributed computing system also includes one or more central computers in wireless communication with each of the plurality of vehicles. The one or more central computers execute instructions to determine a road surface traction capacity value for the common spatio-temporal zone.

摘要: A modular portable storage container system includes a storage container having first and second sections. The first section defines a first partial volume of storage space and the second section defines a second partial volume of storage space. The system further includes a lock mechanism with a lock arm, lock handle, and pivot shaft defining an axis of rotation. The lock arm and handle are fixed for common rotation with the pivot shaft. The arm extends radially outward from the pivot shaft to a roller assembly. A lock track is disposed within the second section and extends from a fluted open portion to a closed end, with a continuous track portion disposed therebetween. The first and second sections are movable between at least closed and open positions. In the closed position, the roller assembly engages with the lock track and retains the first section in contact with the second portion.

摘要: A method for providing a blind reveal warning on multi-focal plane augmented reality display includes receiving remote-vehicle data, which includes information about a plurality of remote vehicles. The remote vehicles include a first remote vehicle located directly in front of the host vehicle and a second remote vehicle in front of the first remote vehicle. The method further includes determining an approach rate of the first remote vehicle to the second remote vehicle. The method further includes determining a probability that the first remote vehicle will perform a blind reveal and comparing that probability with a predetermined threshold value. The method further includes, in response to determining that the probability that the first remote vehicle will perform the blind reveal is greater than the predetermined threshold value, transmitting a command signal to the display of the host vehicle to display a virtual image.

摘要: A system for communicating vehicle-specific features to one or more personal electronic devices includes one or more controllers in wireless communication with a centralized computer system including one or more database for storing the vehicle-specific features. The one or more controllers execute instructions to undergo a passive wireless interaction with the one or more personal electronic devices. The passive wireless interaction involves determining the one or more personal electronic devices are located within a predefined proximity around a vehicle without human interaction. In response to undergoing the passive wireless interaction, the one or more controllers transmit one or more vehicle-specific features to the one or more personal electronic devices, where the one or more vehicle-specific features are unique to the vehicle.

摘要: A parking brake system is disclosed and includes one or more pressure transducers that monitor the fluid pressure of the parking brake system and a brake selection device configured to indicate the parking brake system is either in an engaged state or a disengaged state. The parking brake system includes one or more processors and a memory coupled to the one or more processors. The memory stores data comprising a database and program code that, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the parking brake system to determine the fluid pressure of the parking brake system is less than a threshold pressure. In response to determining the fluid pressure of the parking brake system is less than the threshold pressure, the parking brake system instructs the brake selection device to indicate the parking brake system is in the disengaged state.

摘要: A method to manufacture an automobile vehicle engine aluminum piston, comprises: printing an aluminum piston crown portion including an additive manufacturing (AM) piston crown work piece using initial aluminum powders defining an initial aluminum powder bed; removing the aluminum piston crown portion from the initial aluminum powder bed; fixedly joining a cast iron ring carrier to the AM piston crown work piece; placing the aluminum piston crown portion together with the cast iron ring carrier into a secondary and a tertiary aluminum powder bed; and printing a piston skirt integrally connected to the AM piston crown work piece and to the cast iron ring carrier.

摘要: A method of joining an interior wall and a composite channel together is disclosed. The method includes wrapping one or more first composite plies around a first end portion of a first mandrel and wrapping one or more second composite plies around a second end portion of a second mandrel. The method includes positioning the one or more first composite plies located on the first end portion of the first mandrel against the one or more second composite plies located on the second end portion of the second mandrel to create the interior wall, and inserting the first mandrel and the second mandrel into a passageway of a composite channel. The interior wall created by the one or more first composite plies and the one or more second composite plies creates a barrier to block a flow of fluid within the passageway of the composite channel.

摘要: A communication system that determines a context and an intent of a specific remote vehicle located in a surrounding environment of a host vehicle includes one or more controllers for receiving sensed perception data including sensed perception data. The one or more controllers execute instructions to determine a plurality of vehicle parameters related to the specific remote vehicle. The the one or more controllers execute instructions to associate the specific remote vehicle with a specific lane of travel of a roadway based on map data. The one or more controllers determines possible maneuvers, possible egress lanes, and a speed limit for the specific remote vehicle for the specific lane of travel based on the map data, and determines the context and the intent of the specific remote vehicle based on the plurality of vehicle parameters, the possible maneuvers, the possible egress lanes for the specific remote vehicle, and the speed limit related to the specific remote vehicle.
