The invention relates to a white, biaxially oriented polyester film which has at least one polyester-containing base layer (B) and at least one white, matt outer layer (A), where the outer later (A) and the base layer (B) include, alongside the white pigment, other particles, preferably SiO2, which have a median diameter of from 2 to 10 μm. The film is optionally functionalized on at least one surface. Films of this type feature in particular low weathering-resistant gloss of the outer layer (A), high whiteness, high UV protection, and high processing safety, and are therefore suitable for outdoor uses, in particular for use in roofing films.

A system and method are provided that employ an ink jet process to dispose a non-aqueous solid ink product on a flexible clear film layer as an image receiving substrate to create multi-layer tamper-evident closures including tape, wrapping, labeling, marking or sealing products, in which visual information is embedded. These processes provide manufacturers of the multi-layer tamper-evident closures an ability to present variable image content in ways that would be difficult to counterfeit. These processes provide manufacturers of the multi-layer tamper-evident closures a capability to coordinate the variable image content of the multi-layer tamper-evident closures with the images that are contained in the labeling or marking of a particular product's package. In this manner, presence of the multi-layer tamper-evident closure may be partially hidden as it may be designed to blend with background packaging images in a manner that does not disrupt an aesthetically-pleasing nature of the product package.

A method is provided for producing a metal foil laminate having a good appearance. In a suitable embodiment a first stack with a resin-impregnated base material sequentially sandwiched between a pair of copper foils and between a pair of spacer copper foils is prepared. Then, a second stack with the first stack sequentially sandwiched between a pair of SUS sheets and between a pair of aramid cushions is prepared. Thereafter, this second stack is hot pressed by a pair of heating plates in the laminating direction thereof to produce a metal foil laminate with a pair of copper foils attached onto both sides of the resin-impregnated base material.
