Abstract: A read-amplifier circuit includes a core with a first input and a second input that are intended to receive in a measurement phase a differential signal arising from a first bit line and from a second bit line of the memory device. The circuit also includes a memory element with two inverters coupled in a crossed manner. The first and second inputs are respectively connected to two of the power supply nodes of the inverters via two transfer capacitors. A first controllable circuit is configured to temporarily render the memory element floating during an initial phase preceding the measurement phase and during the measurement phase.

Abstract: An estimate of the initial position of a rotor is made by monitoring sensed motor current signals which are amplitude and phase modulated with the rotor flux position in response to a high frequency voltage signal injection. The motor current signals are envelope detected to determine zero crossing points. Samples are taken of the motor current signals at positive and negative offsets from the zero crossing point, with the samples processed to identify a direction of the rotor flux axis. Further samples of at least one motor current signal are taken with respect to a certain phase reference, and the samples compared to resolve a polarity of the rotor flux axis which is indicative of the angular position of the rotor.

Abstract: A gyroscope includes: a mass, which is movable with respect to a supporting body; a driving loop for keeping the mass in oscillation according to a driving axis; a reading device, which supplying an output signal indicating an angular speed of the body; and a compensation device, for attenuating spurious signal components in quadrature with respect to a velocity of oscillation of the mass. The reading device includes an amplifier, which supplies a transduction signal indicating a position of the mass according to a sensing axis. The compensation device forms a control loop with the amplifier, extracts from the transduction signal an error signal representing quadrature components in the transduction signal, and supplies to the amplifier a compensation signal such as to attenuate the error signal.

The method may include forming bond pads on a first surface of a substrate, forming leads in the substrate by etching recesses in a second surface of the substrate, the second surface being opposite the first surface, and plating at least a portion of a top surface of the leads with a layer of finish plating. The method may also include thermosonically bonding the leads to a die by thermosonically bonding the finish plating to the die and encapsulating the die and the leads in an encapsulant.

Abstract: A driver device for driving a DC motor using PWM modulated drive signals includes comparator circuits for producing digitalized Back-EMF signals having first and second values as a function of the Back-EMF signals being above or below a respective threshold, and an inverter for driving the PWM modulated drive signals in a phased relationship with the digitalized Back-EMF signals. The driver device also includes controller circuits configured for controlling the respective threshold by minimizing the error between a time measured between two consecutive opposed edges of the digitalized Back-EMF signal and half a time measured between two consecutive homologous edges of the digitalized Back-EMF signal.
