    摘要: A vehicle control device includes a first recognizer configured to recognize a surrounding situation of a vehicle including a first marking, a second recognizer configured to recognize a second marking relating to a lane near the vehicle from map information, a driving controller, and a mode decider. It is determined whether or not there is interference between a specific region set on the basis of the second marking and a position of the preceding vehicle when the first marking is not recognized and the preceding vehicle is recognized. A driving mode is changed from the first driving mode to the second driving mode when it is determined that the preceding vehicle interferes with the specific region. A width of the specific region is variably set in accordance with at least one of an inter-vehicle distance between the vehicle and the preceding vehicle and a road's curvature where the vehicle travels.

    摘要: An approach is provided for a runaway vehicle detection system. The approach, for example, involves processing sensor data to detect that a vehicle is involved in or predicted to be involved in a runaway vehicle event. The approach also involves processing map data, the sensor data, or a combination thereof to determine a runaway vehicle safety location based on at least one attribute of the vehicle. The approach further involves generating an alert message indicating the runaway vehicle safety location. The approach further involves providing the alert message for display on a device associated with the vehicle. In one embodiment, the approach further involves mapping the runaway vehicle safety location, the runaway vehicle event, or a combination thereof to digital map of a geographic database.
