Abstract: Disclosed is a high-power electric motor and its fabrication technology. The motor and its distributed power electronics are all being fully integrated in a conventional turbofan engine. The rotor drives directly (with no gears) the LP shaft of the jet engine while requiring minimal modification to a basic jet engine and without distortion to the nacelle geometry. In principle such a configuration should be suitable for a power level of 10 to 50 MW, which makes it fully capable of providing a standard flight envelope by only using electric energy.

Abstract: An electronic package adapted for connection to a rear frame member of an electric machine of liquid and/or air-cooled type. The electronic package includes a cooling tower having opposite first and second axial ends spaced along a package central axis. The cooling tower includes a metallic wall extending about the package central axis to define a radially outer wall surface. The cooling tower is at ground potential and defines a heat sink. The electronic package also includes a plurality of power modules mounted in conductive thermal communication to the cooling tower at positions on the radially outer wall surface. Heat transference to the cooling tower from each power module occurs along a respective primary cooling path. Transference along the primary cooling paths of heat from the cooling tower includes thermal convection to air and/or liquid. An electric machine of liquid and/or air-cooled type including an electronic package is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present disclosure illustrates a fan structure which includes an outer shell member, a rotating module and a circuit module. The outer shell member has a receiving groove, and an axis part and a fastening part. The fastening part includes winding columns. The rotating module includes the fan, an axis coupling part pivotally connected with the axis part, and a magnetic part disposed on a periphery of the axis coupling part. The circuit module includes a circuit board which has positioning holes formed on and annularly arranged the surface thereof. Position-limiting caps are respectively mounted and fixed on the winding column after the winding columns are inserted through the positioning holes. A conductive wire is wound on the winding columns to form coils, and has two ends welded on the circuit board. Therefore, defect rate and assembly cost of production of fan structure of the present disclosure can be decreased.

Abstract: A centrifugal blower includes a motor including a stator and a motor cover, a centrifugal impeller rotating together with a rotating portion of the motor, and a blower casing. The stator includes a stator core including a toric core back. The motor cover includes an upper surface, and a cylindrical outer peripheral surface extending downwards. The blower casing disposed above the impeller includes an upper side casing top plate portion in which an intake port is disposed at the middle, and a cylindrical wall portion extending downwards from the upper side casing top plate portion. An inner peripheral surface of the wall portion and the outer peripheral surface of the motor cover forms a flow path continuous in the axial direction. A discharge port is formed in a lower end portion of the flow path. The core back includes an exposed portion exposed to the flow path.

Abstract: A power tool with a combined printed circuit board (PCB) that reduces internal wiring of the power tool and provides a large amount of air flow to internal components. In some instances, the combined PCB has a surfboard shape and includes a motor control unit and power switching elements (Field Effect Transistors or FETs). The combined surfboard PCB is located above the trigger, but below the motor and drive mechanism. In other instances, the combined PCB has a doughnut shape and is located coaxially with a motor shaft. The combined PCB may be positioned between a doughnut-shaped control PCB and the motor.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a high performance rotating electrical machine which aims at downsizing, and challenges inevitable technical problems such as deterioration of efficiency η caused by copper loss and temperature rise inside the rotating electrical machine due to heat generation induced by eddy current generated in a magnetic body. Such technical problem may be solved by configuring a coreless rotating electrical machine as comprising a stator having a cylindrical coil of a laminate structure consisting of two-layer or four-layer conductive metal sheets and a lid-type mount which fixes one of end faces of the cylindrical coil, and a rotor having a cup-type mount opposingly positioned with respect to the lid-type mount, with an air gap formed by a bottom, an inner cylindrical air-channel forming body and an outer cylindrical air-channel forming body, in which the cylindrical coil is arranged as suspended, and a plurality of magnets equipped on the outer cylindrical air-channel forming body and/or the inner cylindrical air-channel forming body, the cup-type mount has intake holes leading to the second air space on the bottom and a plurality of exhaust holes leading to the air gap, positioned in a row around a circumference of the outer cylindrical air-channel forming body, close to the bottom, and/or a plurality of exhaust holes leading to the air gap, consisting of arrays in a lengthwise direction of the air gap, from the open end face to the bottom with equally spaced intervals on the circumference of the outer cylindrical air-channel forming body, wherein ambient air taken into the second air space and/or ambient air taken into the outer side of the cylindrical coil, under differential pressure generated around the rotor by rotation thereof, are configured to directly cool a plurality of the magnets exposed in the air gap and both surfaces of the cylindrical coil arranged in the air gap, and to be discharged from the exhaust holes of the rotating outer cylindrical air-channel forming body.
