Self-contained battery powered float-type and pill-type sondes are also disclosed.

    摘要: Generally, the present invention provides a device and method for accurately locating a multi-well plate at a plate-support location, e.g., a work surface, of an automated laboratory machine, such that one or more acting members of the machine, such as an array of pipette tips, optical sensors, or the like, can accurately address and operate on the individual wells. Interior and/or exterior surface regions of one or more wells of a multi-well plate are used as the primary plate features engaged by locating structure of the machine. In one particular embodiment one or more upwardly tapered projections extend from a plate-support surface of a plate-handling machine for mating engagement with the exterior surface regions of one or more wells. In another embodiment, the exterior surface regions along one or more well bottoms are engagingly received within bores, or other receiving structure, formed on the plate-support surface of a machine. In a further embodiment, one or more downwardly extending projections depend from an acting-member support, along with the acting members of a machine. Introduction of the projections into some of the wells of a multi-well plate serves to align the acting members with the plate's other wells. A biasing assembly can be used to press together the engaging surface regions of the wells and the locating structures of the machine.

    摘要: Shifter circuits comprise a matched translation stack comprising at least first and second stacks each of which comprising multiple transistors. The matched translation stack is configured to provide a primary logic level shift between a voltage level away from which a shift is desired (VddL) and a voltage level to which the shift is desired (VddH). One or more high voltage buffer stages are provided, at least one of which being connected with and biased by the matched translation stack. At least one high voltage buffer stage comprises multiple transistors arranged in a transistor stack that is biased by the first stack of the matched translation stack, and is connected to receive an input supplied by the second stack of the matched translation stack. The high voltage buffer stage also comprises an inverter that drives an output stage which is also driven by a low voltage buffer stage.

C.) under an atmosphere of an oxygen containing gas (e.g. oxygen) of between 1 and 10 atmospheres absolute pressure to form lead acetate, then (2) reacting the lead acetate with a source of ammonium ion (e.g. ammonia) under an absolute pressure between 1 and 5 atmospheres at a temperature up to 100.degree. C. (e.g. 60.degree.-90.degree. C.) to precipitate lead oxides and, optionally, to produce tri- and tetra- basic lead sulphates, by (3) adding to the lead oxides so precipitated sulphuric acid in the stoichliometric amount to produce tri- or tetra- basic lead sulphate, then (4) separating and drying the tri- or tetra- basic lead sulphate so formed.
