摘要: An input buffer for processing an external signal is provided in one of passways, which is the most closest to a line for equally dividing the whole of a plurality of memory cell blocks longitudinally or laterally into two sections, the passway interposing between the adjacent memory cell blocks of the plurality of memory cell blocks to which a processed signal of the input buffer is transmitted, whereby the length of the signal pass from the input buffer to each memory cell of the memory cell blocks can be shortened. Therefore, since the memory cell or a logic element existing between the input buffer and the memory cell is operated by a pulse of little distortion without delay of time, a access time can be reduced and a processing speed of a microprocessor can be increased. Further, a degree of freedom in designing a system of a memory or the microprocessor is further improved.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of forming a large number of monocrystalline silicon regions, of uniform orientation, on the surface of an insulator material. Initially, a large number of island regions of amorphous or polycrystalline silicon, thermally connected to one another in a predetermined direction by connecting regions, are provided. Then such island regions are sequentially melted and regrown in such predetermined direction so as to form the monocrystalline semiconductor regions, with such regions having a uniform orientation. Thereafter, such connecting regions can be removed in order to isolate the island regions. The connecting regions can be formed with gaps, whereby such connecting regions need not be removed. The connecting regions can be formed of materials having a higher heat conductivity than that of the material of the island regions, and/or the connecting regions can have a smaller cross-sectional area at right angles to the predetermined direction than that of the island regions. Such island regions can be utilized for forming semiconductor elements, such as MOS FETs, therein.

摘要: A service plug includes a lever (30) supported on a cover (20) for movement between full and partial locking positions. A housing (90) is connectable to and separable from the cover (20) as the lever (30) is moved. Heavy current terminals (50) are disconnected from a power supply circuit in a separating process of the cover (20). A detection terminal (60) is switched from an ON-state to an OFF-state in the separating process of the cover (20). A stopper (40) contacts restricting walls (25) on the cover (20) to stop a movement of the lever (30) from the full locking position toward the partial locking position until the heavy current terminals (50) are disconnected from the power supply circuit after the detection terminal (60) is switched from the ON-state to the OFF-state in the separating process of the cover (20).
