The method comprises contacting a solution containing cells with a hydrophobic solid support having a water contact angle between 70 and 90 degrees. By allowing cells to be adsorbed to the hydrophobic solid substrate, the cells can be separated. Thus, the cell separation efficiency can be rapidly and simply increased.
