摘要: A filter system for filtering a fluid containing particles includes a porous substrate. The porous substrate is made of a porous ceramic material. A filtering material is connected to the porous ceramic substrate. The filtering material includes nanofibers. The fluid travels through the porous ceramic substrate and travels through the filtering material wherein the particles are captured in the porous ceramic substrate and in the filtering material.

摘要: A continuously-operable flow stream processing system and method has two or more fluid processing media arranged in a fluid conduit network to provide alternate flow paths for a flow stream to be processed (e.g. filtered). Valves and other flow control devices, e.g. controller module and sensors, are used to redirect the flow stream from one or more service-needed fluid processing media to service-ready fluid processing media without taking the system offline to remove, repair, replace, clean in situ, or otherwise service the service-needed fluid processing media, so that the system may operate continuously to process the flow stream without stoppage. Redirection into alternative flow paths and media may be automatically implemented based on a predetermined threshold or trigger condition, such as may be detected by sensors directly or indirectly monitoring media condition.

摘要: An engine assembly may include a cylinder head, an intake manifold assembly, first and second vanes, and an actuation mechanism. The first and second vanes may be rotatably coupled to the intake manifold assembly. The first vane may be located within an outlet of a first intake passage and the second vane may be located within an outlet of a second intake passage. The first and second vanes may be displaceable from an open position to a closed position. The first vane may extend along a wall defining the first intake passage when in the open position and the second vane may extend along a wall defining the second intake passage when in the open position. The actuation mechanism may be coupled to the first and second vanes to rotate the first and second vanes between the open and closed positions.

摘要: This invention provides some new synthetically obtained compounds of formula I and II ##STR1## which are useful as chemical intermediates. Representative formula I or II compounds have also been shown to possess useful ranges of antitumor activity in standard laboratory animal tests. In addition, the compounds of formula I or II can be linked to monoclonal antibodies, either directly or via known linking group, as a means of selectively delivering the CC-1065 analogs (Compounds of Formula I and II) to those target cells expressing the target antigen and thus selectively eliminating those diseased cells from the animal or human. Further, the compounds of formula I and II can be linked to soluble human CD4 or a soluble human CD4 protein fragment capable of binding to the gp120 envelope protein of the human immuno-virus and thus eliminate virally infected cells.

摘要: A method of drilling a subsea wellbore includes drilling the wellbore by injecting drilling fluid through a tubular string extending into the wellbore from an offshore drilling unit (ODU) and rotating a drill bit disposed on a bottom of the tubular string. The method further includes, while drilling the wellbore: mixing lifting fluid with drilling returns at a flow rate proportionate to a flow rate of the drilling fluid, thereby forming a return mixture. The lifting fluid has a density substantially less than a density of the drilling fluid. The return mixture has a density substantially less than the drilling fluid density. The method further includes, while drilling the wellbore: measuring a flow rate of the returns or the return mixture; and comparing the measured flow rate to the drilling fluid flow rate to ensure control of a formation being drilled.

The system also includes a system-management component configured to receive indication that a first one of the database systems is ceasing operation and, in response, take a second one of the database systems to an operational state in which at least a portion of the database workload that is scheduled to be carried out by the first database system is transferred to the second database system.

摘要: An equipment component system including an equipment component structure having a first unit and a second unit and an intumescent paint or sealant on said equipment component structure. The intumescent paint or sealant provides sealing or prevents warpage or deformation or separation of a equipment component or sub-component in a fire or at high temperatures. The intumescent paint can shut a gap in a fire or at high temperatures. The intumescent paint can also pen a gap in a fire or at high temperatures so that fluid flow is preferentially directed one route versus another.

摘要: Fuel delivery valving operatively mounted in an axially extending center bore of a high pressure pump rotor. The valve axially shifts between an open position in which a charge of fuel generated by the pump is transmitted as a pressure wave to a fuel injector nozzle and a closed position in which the pump charging chamber is sealed from the injection line and the injection line is vented to low pressure so that secondary pressure waves reflecting from the injector nozzle will be routed to the low pressure line for dissipation therein rather than rebounding from the delivery valve. This improves engine operation efficiency and eliminates seocndary injection of fuel by the injector nozzle and high hydrocarbon and smoke emissions. One embodiment has a fuel delivery valve operatively mounted in each discharge fitting of a hydraulic head assembly of the fuel injection pump.
