    摘要: A honeycomb structure is provided with a pair of electrode sections disposed on the side face of the honeycomb structure section. The honeycomb structure section has an electrical resistivity of 1 to 200 Ωcm, and each of the pair of electrode sections is formed into a band-like shape extending in a cell extension direction of the honeycomb structure section. In a cross section perpendicular to the cell extension direction, one electrode section of the pair of electrode sections is disposed across the center O of the honeycomb structure section from the other electrode section of the pair of electrode sections. In a cross section perpendicular to the cell extension direction, 0.5 times the central angle of each of the electrode sections is 15 to 65°.

    摘要: A honeycomb structure includes a center part which has a cylindrical honeycomb structure part with a porous partition wall and an outer circumferential wall defining a plurality of cells, and which has a pair of electrodes disposed on the side surface of the honeycomb structure part. The honeycomb structure also includes an outer circumferential part disposed around the center part. The electric resistivity of the honeycomb structure part is 1-200 Ωcm. Each electrode in the electrode pair is formed in a band shape that extends in the direction that the cells extend. In a cross section, one electrode is located opposite the other electrode over the center of the honeycomb structure part. The outer circumferential part has a porous partition wall and an outer circumferential wall that define a plurality of cells. The volumetric heat capacity of the outer circumferential part is smaller than that of the center part.

A pair of electrode members is formed in the first honeycomb structure. The ratio L/D of length L in the cell extending direction of the honeycomb structure body to diameter D of the cross section perpendicular to the cell extending direction is 0.5 to 1.2. Also, it is preferable that a urea hydrolysis catalyzer is provided in the second end face side of the honeycomb structure body, with a gap from the second end face.

    摘要: The honeycomb type heating device includes: a pillar-shaped honeycomb substrate which includes a porous partition wall defining a plurality of cells extending from one end face to the other end face and a circumferential wall surrounding the partition wall; and a plurality of heaters which are disposed adjacently in a circumferential direction of an outer circumferential face that is an outer surface of the circumferential wall, on the outer circumferential face. Each heater is a resistance heating heater which radiates heat by a current supplied thereto, each heater comes into face-contact with the outer circumferential face, and a ratio of a total area of a portion covered by the heaters of the outer circumferential face with respect to the entire area of the outer circumferential face is 50 to 100%.
