    摘要: This invention pertains to a process for preparing diacetylenics, to diacetylenic compounds and to reduced diacetylenic compounds. The process includes the steps of reacting coupling an acetylenic acid in presence of cupric chloride in Ethylamine and hydroxylamine hydrochloride to form a diacetylenic diacid; reacting the diacetylenic diacid with a lithium compound, trimethylsilyl chloride and hydrochloric acid to form a diacetylenic compound; and reducing the diacetylenic compound to a reduced diacetylenic compound. The diacetylenic compounds have the formula COOH—(CH2)m—C≡C—C≡C—(CH2)m—C(═O)—R or R—C(═O)—(CH2)m—C≡C—C≡C—(CH2)m—C(═O)—R and the reduced cyclic diacetylenic compounds have the formula COOH—(CH2)m—C≡C—C≡C—(CH2)m—CH2—R or R—CH2—(CH2)m—C≡C—C≡C—(CH2)m—CH2—R, where m is 1-18 and R is selected from alkyl groups of 1-10 and cyclic groups containing 6-35 carbon atoms and aryl moieties

    摘要: Diacetylinic phosophocholines have distinctly different endothermic and exothermic transition temperatures. Lipid tubules are formed by hydrating a diacetylinic phosphocholine at a temperature above its endothermic transition temperature. The hydrated lipid is then cooled slowly to a formation temperature 1.degree. to 10.degree. C. below the exothermic transition temperature to form tubule structures. The tubules structures can be polymerized to form permanent tubules. The tubules can be used in the same manner as a liposome vesicle or they can be metal coated for a variety of applications.

    摘要: Tubular, spheroidal, and helical lipid microstructures are individually clad with a metal coat deposited on the microstructures by an electroless plating bath. In metal cladding the microstructures, the surfaces of the lipid microstructures are sensitized by adsorption thereon of a catalytic precursor which enables metal from the electroless plating bath to deposit upon and adhere to the sensitized surface. The metal plate is electrically conductive and may also be magnetic. A composite material is produced by embedding the metal clad microstructures in a matrix of a polymer such as an epoxy or a polyurethane.

    摘要: The present invention provides novel polymerizable lipids and mixtures thof with non-polymerizable lipids and methods for the controlled release of encapsulated materials using stabilized or polymerized vesicles. Release is induced by pH, ions, temperature, light or other changes in the environment. Time release mechanisms are also employed. Applications of the present invention especially include encapsulation of enzymes and their subsequent sustained release for degradation of environmental pollutants, encapsulation of fluorescent markers for use in sensor systems, and encapsulation and release of fragrant molecules in detergents.
