    摘要: A light emitting device comprises: a light guiding plate including two facing principal surfaces and circumferential end surfaces connecting the principal surfaces; and a point-like light source facing at least one surface of the circumferential end surfaces of the light guiding plate. One surface of the circumferential end surfaces except the surface where the light source is arranged is a light emitting surface, the thickness of the light guiding plate facing the light source is smaller than the thickness of a portion constituting the light emitting surface and is smaller than the thickness of a light emitting surface of the light source, a diffusing unit is formed on at least one of the principal surfaces; and a reflection member covering peripheries of the light source and the light guiding plate except portions constituting the light emitting surfaces of the light source and the light guiding plate is provided.

    摘要: A spread illuminating apparatus includes: a light conductor plate having a light inlet surface and a light outlet surface; a point light source disposed at the light inlet surface of the light conductor plate; and a light diffuser sheet disposed on the light outlet surface of the light conductor plate, wherein the light diffuser sheet has one end thereof extending beyond the light inlet surface and thereby covers at least a part of the point light source, whereby light which conventionally does not enter the light conductor plate directly from the light inlet surface is adapted to impinge on the light diffuser sheet and to fall incident on the light inlet surface and is efficiently utilized. A recess may be formed at the one end of the light diffuser sheet so as to expose a part of the light exit surface of the light conductor plate.

    摘要: More efficient radiation of heat from a point-like light source is enabled, and thinning is promoted, while higher and more uniform brightness of a planar illumination device is accommodated. A radiation path is formed through which the heat generated from the point-like light source is transmitted to a radiator plate made of metal through an electrode terminal of the point-like light source, a land portion of a front side face of an FPC, a through hole of a conductor pattern, and a high heat-conductive resin. The radiation path for efficient radiation from a conductor pattern of the FPC to the radiator plate made of metal is extended, and direct radiation area is sufficiently ensured. Particularly even if a large-current type LED is used for the point-like light source, sufficient radiation effect can be obtained. Also, since freedom in wiring pattern on the FPC and freedom of outline are not different from a conventional FPC at all, a demand for thinning of the planar illumination device can be sufficiently satisfied.

    摘要: A field-effect transistor has a source region, a drain region, a gate electrode, and a low resistivity layer. The source and drain regions are of a first conductivity type and formed as surface regions of a semiconductor layer formed on one of an insulating substrate and a semi-insulating substrate. The gate electrode is formed on a channel region between the source region and the drain region. The low resistivity layer serving as a shield layer is disposed underneath and spaced apart from the source, drain and channel regions, and overlaps the source region with an overlap area being larger than an overlap area between the low resistivity layer and the drain region. The arrangement enables the prevention of noise margin reduction and erroneous operation.
