Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for the catalytic treatment of a hydrocarbon feedstock with continuous catalytic regeneration, in which process said feedstock is successively circulated in a plurality of reaction zones in series (R1, R2, R3, R4), the catalyst circulating as a moving bed successively in the plurality of reaction zones and flowing from the upstream end to the downstream end of each of the reaction zones and being transported by a carrier gas phase g1 from the downstream end of one reaction zone to the upstream end of the next reaction zone, characterized in that said carrier gas phase g1 has a density of greater than or equal to 1 kg/m3.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing core-shell particles comprises: filling a buffer into a rotor, which is extended in a longitudinal direction, and is accommodated so as to be spaced apart from an inner wall side of a non-rotational hollow cylinder extended in a longitudinal direction and then discharging air to outside; rotating the rotor after terminating the filling; forming a core-shell precursor by supplying raw materials from a first storage and a second storage, which comprise a material forming a core, into an interior of the cylinder in which the rotor rotates; supplying a shell material for coating the core to the interior of the cylinder in which a core-type precursor is formed; separating a liquid comprising core-shell particles formed through the supplying into a solid and a liquid; and drying the core-shell particles obtained through the separating.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the production of carbon nanotubes by decomposition of hydrocarbons on a heterogeneous catalyst in a fluidized bed reactor, wherein the reactor can be operated batchwise or continuously, and in the case of continuous operation discharge can take place with sifting or without sifting.
Abstract:
A device and method for measuring the back pressure in chemical reactor tubes using injector tubes that are calibrated to provide uniform measurements.
Abstract:
A gas-solids reaction system is provided for improving product recovery in a multiple reactor reaction system. The solids of the product gas-solids flows from the multiple reactors are separated out in a separation vessel having a baffled transition zone. Additional product vapor is stripped from the solids as the solids pass through the baffled transition zone. The solids are then returned to the multiple reactors.
Abstract:
A device and method for measuring the back pressure in chemical reactor tubes includes many automated features. Inflatable tube seals may be automatically inflated. The device may measure several tubes at once. It may transmit data electronically to a remote computer for analysis and graphic display.
Abstract:
A method for controlling the flowability of polymer particles flowing downward in a densified form inside a polymerization reactor, in which one or more monomers are gas-phase polymerized in the presence of a polymerization catalyst, the density of solid (Kg of polymer per m3 of reactor occupied by the polymer) being higher than 80% of the “poured bulk density” of the polymer, the method being characterized in that a liquid stream is continuously fed into the polymerization reactor at a mass flow rate per unity of reactor surface higher than 30 Kg/h m2.
Abstract:
A process for selecting shaped particles for use in a tube which is capable of being packed with shaped particles to form a packed bed in the tube. A desired value of one or more properties of the packed bed is defined. The dimensions of the shaped particles are calculated such that a packed bed in the tube of the shaped particles having the calculated dimensions meets or substantially meets the desired value(s), and shaped particles are selected in accordance with the calculated dimensions. The properties of the packed bed may be the volume fraction which is occupied by shaped particles, the packing density, and the resistivity for a gas flowing through the packed bed.
Abstract:
A process and apparatus are disclosed contacting hydrocarbon feed with catalyst in a reactor vessel under conditions more vigorous than bubbling bed conditions and preferably fast fluidized flow conditions. The vigorous conditions assure thorough mixing of catalyst and feed to suppress formation of dry gas and the promotion of hydrogen transfer reactions.
Abstract:
A fluidized bed olefin polymerization process is operated in the turbulent regime while utilizing greater than 17.5% liquid in the recycle fluid to remove the heat of reaction. The ratio of fluidized bed density to settled bed density may, contrary to prior art predelictions, be maintained at lower than 0.59.
