摘要: In one embodiment a method to form a composite part comprises joining a first structural element and a second element to form a fillet at an intersection of the first structural element and the second element, positioning an inflatable radius filler in the fillet, positioning the composite part in a vacuum chamber, venting the inflatable radius filler to an environment external to vacuum chamber, drawing a vacuum in the vacuum chamber, and curing the composite part. 摘要: Disclosed herein is a method of making a light emitting device having an LED die and a molded encapsulant made by polymerizing at least two polymerizable compositions. The method includes: (a) providing an LED package having an LED die disposed in a reflecting cup, the reflecting cup filled with a first polymerizable composition such that the LED die is encapsulated; (b) providing a mold having a cavity filled with a second polymerizable composition; (c) contacting the first and second polymerizable compositions; (d) polymerizing the first and second polymerizable compositions to form first and second polymerized compositions, respectively, wherein the first and second polymerized compositions are bonded together; and (e) optionally separating the mold from the second polymerized composition. Light emitting devices prepared according to the method are also described.

摘要: This invention is directed toward making hollow racquet ball balls. This is accomplished by molding a mass of vulcanizable elastic material to hollow semi-spherical form and heating the bulk of the material substantially fully to vulcanize it while simultaneously cooling a portion around the full edge so it is only partially vulcanized at the edge area thereof. Then two of such semi-spherical forms have the edges thereof abutted under some pressure to force the uncured edges together, and heat is then applied to the uncured edges of each half to fully vulcanize them and bind them together to form a unitary seamless ball thereform.Apparatus for forming the balls includes mold means defining a hollow semi-spherical cavity with a cooling chamber being provided at the open edge of the cavity that defines an edge of the formed hollow half sphere whereby a cooling medium can be circulated at the edge to prevent vulcanization thereof while the remaining part of the hollow half sphere is heated and vulcanized.

摘要: A composite material member including a rubber element and a composite fiber element is manufactured by integrally combining rubber and composite fiber. A method for manufacturing the composite material member is also provided. In this method, the composite fiber element whether being thermosetting or not is disposed in a first mold of a mold. The composite fiber element is a structure of at least one fiber layer wrapped with resin. The first mold and a second mold of the mold are then closed. Finally, the cavity is filled with rubber. Different forming environments are provided according to whether the composite fiber element is thermosetting or not to form and fix the rubber element on the resin of the composite fiber element.
