摘要: An embodiment of a PCD insert comprises an embodiment of a PCD element joined to a cemented carbide substrate at an interface. The PCD element has internal diamond surfaces defining interstices between them. The PCD element comprises a masked or passivated region and an unmasked or unpassivated region, the unmasked or unpassivated region defining a boundary with the substrate, the boundary being the interface. At least some of the internal diamond surfaces of the masked or passivated region contact a mask or passivation medium, and some or all of the interstices of the masked or passivated region and of the unmasked or unpassivated region are at least partially filled with an infiltrant material.

摘要: Methods for forming a unitary ceramic component are provided. The method may include: positioning a braze reactant layer in a contact area between a first densified ceramic component and a second densified ceramic component; positioning a pack material around at least a portion of the first densified ceramic component or the second densified ceramic component; positioning at least one infiltrate source in fluid communication with the braze reactant layer; and thereafter, heating the at least one infiltrate source, the pack material, the first densified ceramic component, and the second densified ceramic component to a braze temperature that is at or above a melting point of at least one phase of the infiltrate composition such that at least one phase of infiltrate composition melts and flows into the braze reactant layer and reacts with a ceramic precursor compound therein to form a ceramic material.

摘要: A method of forming an integral fastener for a ceramic matrix composite component comprises the steps of forming a fiber preform with an opening, forming a fiber fastener, inserting the fiber fastener into the opening, and infiltrating a matrix material into the fiber preform and fiber fastener to form a ceramic matrix composite component with an integral fastener. A gas turbine engine is also disclosed.

The method for producing a three-dimensional, ceramic component containing silicon carbide, by a) providing a powdery composition having a grain size (d50) between 3 microns and 500 microns and comprising at least 50 wt % of coke, b) providing a liquid binder, c) depositing a layer of the material provided in a) in a planar manner and locally depositing drops of the material provided in b) onto said layer and repeating step c), the local depositing of the drops in the subsequent repetitions of the step is adapted in accordance with the desired shape of the component to be produced, d) at least partially curing or drying the binder and obtaining a green body having the desired shape of the component, e) carbonising the green body, and f) siliconising the carbonised green body by infiltration with liquid silicon.

摘要: The present invention relates to a short carbon fiber-reinforced composite material, including a base material part and at least one sliding part contacting the base material part, in which each of the base material part and the sliding part has a plurality of short carbon fiber bundles in which at least a part thereof has been converted into SiC and a SiC matrix present among the plurality of short carbon fiber bundles, as constituent components, and the short carbon fiber bundles of the sliding part have a SiC conversion higher than that of the short carbon fiber bundles of the base material part.

摘要: A ceramic component is formed of at least one stack of two or more layers of one-directional non-woven carbon fiber fabrics embedded in a ceramic matrix containing silicon carbide and elemental silicon. All adjacent layers within the at least one stack directly adjoin each other. The at least one stack has a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm perpendicularly to the plane of the layers. The ceramic matrix permeates substantially the entire component.

摘要: A production method for a ceramic matrix composite is comprised of: compounding an aggregate powder including a ceramic and a binder including at least one of thermoplastic resins and waxes to form a composition of the aggregate powder and the binder; pressing the composition to form sheets; accumulating fabrics of reinforcement fibers including the ceramic and the sheets alternately; pressing an accumulated body of the fabrics and the sheets; and generating a matrix combining the reinforcement fibers together.

摘要: A method for the joining of ceramic pieces with a hermetically sealed joint comprising brazing a layer of joining material between the two pieces. The wetting and flow of the joining material is controlled by the selection of the joining material, the joining temperature, the joining atmosphere, and other factors. The ceramic pieces may be on a non-diffusable type, such as aluminum nitride, alumina, beryllium oxide, and zirconia, and the pieces may be brazed with an aluminum alloy under controlled atmosphere. The joint material is adapted to later withstand both the environments within a process chamber during substrate processing, and the oxygenated atmosphere which may be seen within the shaft of a heater or electrostatic chuck.
