    摘要: A four-cycle internal combustion engine has a permanent curtailed intake process, which allows the temperature and pressure of intake air to the combustion cylinders to be tightly controlled, and enables a very small combustion chamber so that a much higher compression ratio and pre-ignition compression pressure can be achieved without approaching the air/fuel mixture auto-ignition threshold. The maximum threshold of curtailed intake volume is determined to be 68% of engine cylinder volume to achieve a compression ratio CR of 22.1 or higher. Because this design can effectively regulate and set the maximum pre-ignition temperature of the fuel-air mixture, it can combust virtually any type of liquid hydrocarbon fuel without knocking. This four-cycle engine, due to its higher compression ratio, generates power equivalent to or greater than a standard four-cycle engine in a smaller and lighter engine and at a much higher efficiency.

    摘要: In a method for actuating an actuating member for adjusting a turbine flow cross section of a turbocharger of an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle in the event of a change of the load of the internal combustion engine from a relatively low load value to a relatively high load value, the adjustment takes place at least at times by use of the closed-loop control of a scavenging gradient of the internal combustion engine. The method is characterized in that the turbine flow cross section, in the case of a spark-ignition engine as the internal combustion engine, is not fixedly held at a minimum turbine flow cross section between the change of the load and a beginning of an adjustment which is dependent on the scavenging gradient. A control unit is set up and controls the process of such a method.

At an ignition top dead center, a pressure differential must be greater than a first limiting value for there to be proper firing. At a charge-change top dead center, the pressure differential must be less than a second limiting value for the pressure measurement to be operating properly.

    摘要: A throttle valve opening controller for applying variable retarding forces against the closing force of the throttle valve at the time of quick closing thereof depending on the running condition of the engine, comprising: a diaphragm device consisting of a diaphragm which is movable in association with the throttle valve when the throttle valve opening is smaller than the specified value, a spring for urging said diaphragm with a force smaller than the closing force of the throttle valve, and a diaphragm chamber which is formed on the rear side of said diaphragm and to which atmospheric pressure or intake vacuum immediately downstream of the throttle valve is admitted; and means for varying the leak rate of the air discharged from the diaphragm chamber of said diaphragm device at the time of quick closing of the throttle valve depending on the running condition of the engine.

The intake air quantity correcting device regards a difference between the intake air quantity calculation value calculated in this way and an intake air quantity sensing value sensed with the airflow meter as a sensing error of the airflow meter and corrects the intake air quantity sensing value of the airflow meter based on the sensing error.
