Abstract: The performance and ease of management of wireless communications environments is improved by a mechanism that enables access points (APs) to perform automatic channel selection. A wireless network can therefore include multiple APs, each of which will automatically choose a channel such that channel usage is optimized. Furthermore, APs can perform automatic power adjustment so that multiple APs can operate on the same channel while minimizing interference with each other. Wireless stations are load balanced across APs so that user bandwidth is optimized. A movement detection scheme provides seamless roaming of stations between APs.

Abstract: A communication method is provided. A first node which is a CU in a first IAB donor node, receives a first message from a second node which is a CU in a second IAB donor node, where the first message indicates to reconfigure a resource that is in a first topology and that is used to serve first traffic, the first topology is a topology controlled by a first node, and the first traffic is traffic of a third node or traffic of a downstream node of the third node; and reconfigures, based on the first message, the resource that is in the first topology and that is used to serve the first traffic. There is an RRC connection between the third node and each of the first node and the second node, there is an F1 connection between the third node and the second node.

Abstract: A system, such as a gateway, is provided for use with a first access point device and a second access point device to scan channels within a spectrum of channels. The system includes; a delegating component that is operable to instruct the first access point device to monitor for a presence of a signal on any one of a first set of channels within a spectrum of channels and to instruct the second access point device to monitor for a presence of a signal on any one of a second set of channels within a spectrum of channels; a communication component operable to receive a channel-in-use signal from the first access point device and to transmit a notification signal to the second access point device based on the channel-in-use signal, the channel-in-use signal being associated with an in-use channel of the first set of channels within the spectrum of channels, the communication component is additionally operable to transmit the instruction to the first access point device and the second access point device, the communication component is further operable to receive a communication signal from one of the first access point device and the second access point device as a result of the transmission of the instruction; and a load balancing component operable to determine a communication volume on each of the first set of channels within the spectrum of channels, and to generate an instruction to instruct the first access point device and the second access point device to not use the in-use channel.

Abstract: System and method for establishing a virtual access point (vAP) is described. A wireless network includes a router to provide access to external networks, physical access points (pAPs) to provide radio communications access to a user device, and a controller to form a vPA by layer two link aggregating the pAPs using access point and configuration information and send a virtual service set identifier (vSSID) to the pAPs. The vAP having a layer two data plane and control plane. The vAP provides a wireless coverage area equivalent to the pAPs using the vSSID, enable a user device to connect to the data plane via a data link, connect to the control place via layer two control links, and radio frequency connect to the pAPs. The controller and the pAPs configured to manage user data traffic flow between the router and the user device via the control and the data planes.

The secondary base station receives the first X2AP message and obtains the first F1AP message based on the first X2AP message.
