摘要: The present disclosure provides an energy-storage device and an electricity-consumption device. The energy-storage device includes a housing, an electrode assembly, an end cap assembly, and a lower plastic assembly. The housing has an opening and is provided with an accommodating cavity in communication with the opening, and the accommodating cavity is configured to store fluid. The lower plastic assembly includes a cover plate and two distribution members connected to the cover plate. Each distribution member is provided with a reflux tank, and the reflux tank is configured to collect fluid flowing out from the accommodating cavity and distribute fluid into the accommodating cavity. Each reflux tank defines a first distribution channel and a second distribution channel in a length direction of the lower plastic assembly. Fluid flow capacity of the first distribution channel is greater than fluid flow capacity of the second distribution channel.

The metal joined part includes a first region in which a first metal occupies 70 mass % or more and a second region in which a second metal occupies 70 mass % or more. The first region includes a region that exists on the first conductive member side relative to a border surface and a first protrusion region that protrudes toward the second conductive member relative to the border surface, and the second region includes a region that exists on the second conductive member side relative to the border surface and a second protrusion region that protrudes toward the first conductive member relative to the border surface.

摘要: A method for generating smoke in a cell pack by which a very small amount of smoke can be generated from a specific single unit cell among unit cells constituting the cell pack. The method causes smoke generation in a cell pack in which unit cells are connected and which includes a positive electrode output terminal for electrically connecting the positive electrode terminal of the unit cell and an external device, and a negative electrode output terminal for electrically connecting the negative electrode terminal of the unit cell and an external device. By attaching a heating means to the negative electrode output terminal, the electrode body of a specific single unit cell is heated through the negative electrode output terminal to which the heating means is attached. As a result, it is possible to cause the generation of a small amount of smoke from the specific single unit cell.

摘要: A supercapacitor apparatus within a sealed housing to provide a high-voltage EDLC energy storage unit includes cells stacked on one another, with each cell having a set of supercapacitors that are interconnected within the apparatus in a parallel-series configuration to provide an internally balanced energy storage unit that is capable of stand-off voltages of 10 volts or higher. The energy storage unit does not require balancing resistors or more complicated external balancing circuitry. The electrodes of the supercapacitors are comprised of carbon nanotubes and graphene nanoplatelets.

摘要: A power storage device includes a power storage module, a pair of current collector plates configured to be stacked to interpose the power storage module in a first direction that is vertical, a pair of insulating plates configured to be stacked to interpose the power storage module and the pair of current collector plates in the first direction; and a pair of restraint plates configured to be stacked to interpose the power storage module, the pair of current collector plates, and the pair of insulating plates in the first direction. The power storage module is configured to include an accommodation space that accommodates an electrolytic solution together with a power generation element. A pressure adjustment valve communicating with the accommodation space is provided on a side surface of the power storage module. The insulating plate arranged on a lower side in the first direction with respect to the power storage module is configured to include a main body portion arranged between the current collector plate and the restraint plate, and a liquid receiving portion that is provided on an outer edge portion of the main body portion, is arranged at least at a position corresponding to the pressure adjustment valve when viewed from the first direction, and stores the electrolytic solution discharged from the power storage module. The main body portion and the liquid receiving portion are integrally formed.

摘要: An apparatus and associated method for an energy-storage device (e.g., a capacitor) having a plurality of electrically conducting electrodes including a first electrode and a second electrode separated by a non-electrically conducting region, and wherein the non-electrically conducting region further includes a non-uniform permittivity (K) value. In some embodiments, the method includes providing a substrate; fabricating a first electrode on the substrate; and fabricating a second electrode such that the second electrode is separated from the first electrode by a non-electrically conducting region, wherein the non-electrically conducting region has a non-uniform permittivity (K) value. The capacitor devices will find benefit for use in electric vehicles, of all kinds, uninterruptible power supplies, wind turbines, mobile phones, and the like requiring wide temperature ranges from several hundreds of degrees C. down to absolute zero, consumer electronics operating in a temperature range of −55 degrees C. to 125 degrees C.

An exemplary supercapacitor system includes a mounting assembly and a supercapacitor housed within the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly may be employed to mount the supercapacitor system within a vehicle, such as within a cowl assembly or cargo space of the vehicle. The mounting assembly may include multiple panels. At least one of the multiple panels may be made of a thermally conductive polymer, and at least one other panel of the multiple panels may be made of a polymer that is reinforced by a structural foam.
