摘要: A transmission cable includes a transmission cable, a first circuit board having a first power layout area, a first ground layout area, and a first circuit trace, and a second circuit board having a second power layout area, a second ground layout area, and a second circuit trace. The transmission cable includes a power wire, a pair of signal wires, and a drain wire. When the first power layout area, the first circuit trace, the second power layout area, and the second circuit trace are connected via a resistor, respectively, the drain wire connected between the first circuit trace and the second circuit trace will act as another power wire. Thus, a voltage drop at both ends of the transmission cable can be reduced by increasing the power wires to improve signal transmission quality.

摘要: A vehicle communication interface cable includes a vehicle connector having a connector body configured to connect to a diagnostic port of a vehicle, and includes a vehicle communication interface connector having a connector body configured to connect to a vehicle communication interface, and a cable portion extending between the vehicle connector and vehicle communication interface connector, with the cable portion enabling communication from the vehicle connector to the vehicle communication interface connector. An oscilloscope circuit is integrated with the cable portion and is operatively connected with the vehicle connector to obtain measurements from the diagnostic port when connected thereto, with the oscilloscope circuit being operatively connected with the vehicle communication interface connector to provide measurements from the diagnostic port to the vehicle communication interface when the vehicle communication interface connector is connected to the vehicle communication interface.

A matching connection box has at least one receiving region for the cable connection unit, in which the cable seal and the cable organizer can each be placed. A cover of the connection box may then be folded down, whereby the electrical conductors of the cable are pressed into respective insulation displacement contacts of the connection region and thereby electrically contacted.

The first adhesive adheres a first surface of the concentric flange of the ferrule to a surface of the substrate. The second adhesive fills an annular space between a hole in the substrate and the ferrule. The first adhesive or the second adhesive forms a conductive path on the surface of the substrate between the ferrule and a circuit pattern on the substrate.

摘要: A cable assembly comprising a connector with a termination that enables high density and high signal integrity. Shields of cables are terminated to a paddle card via a conductive structure attached to a surface of the paddle card. The signal conductors of the cables are terminated to pads on the paddle card that are exposed within openings of the conductive structure. Such a structure creates a ground structure per cable that provides low insertion loss and low crosstalk, even when multiple cables are aligned side by side and terminated in one or more rows. The cables may be drainless, enabling a large number of cables, such as eight cables, to be packed within the width of a paddle card specified in high density standards such as QSFP-DD or OSFP. The cables may nonetheless have large diameter signal conductors, enabling 2.5 or 3 meter assemblies with less than 17 dB insertion loss.

摘要: A cable assembly includes a cable having an insulator holding a first signal conductor and a second signal conductor and a cable shield surrounding the insulator. Exposed portions of the signal conductors extend forward of an end of the insulator for termination to a circuit card. The cable assembly includes a ground clip coupled to the end of the cable. The ground clip includes a bottom ground rake below the cable and a top ground hood above the cable. The bottom ground rake includes a window that receives the exposed portions of the first and second signal conductors therethrough. The bottom ground rake includes a lower grounding tab electrically connected to a lower portion of the cable shield and the top ground hood includes an upper grounding tab electrically connected to an upper portion of the cable shield. The bottom ground rake is coupled to the circuit card to support the cable relative to the circuit card.
