摘要: An authentication device to be mounted on a vehicle includes a processor. The processor is configured to execute first authentication based on biometric information acquired from a user and biometric information preregistered in the vehicle. The processor is configured to execute second authentication based on identification information acquired from a mobile device of the user and identification information preregistered in the vehicle. The processor is configured to permit start of the vehicle when at least one of the first authentication and the second authentication is successful. The processor is configured to set an authentication function of the first authentication from ON to OFF when at least one of the first authentication and the second authentication is successful.

摘要: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm and a mirror head at one end of the mounting arm distal from an attachment portion of the mounting arm that is configured for attachment at a vehicle. A mirror reflective element is fixedly attached at the mirror head. An innermost side of the mirror reflective element is attached at a front side of an attachment plate. The mirror reflective element moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm when the driver of the vehicle operates an electrically-operable actuator. The attachment plate includes wall structure that extends from the front side of the attachment plate and circumscribes and spans the perimeter circumferential edge of the glass substrate and does not encroach onto and does not overlap the front surface of the glass substrate of the exterior mirror reflective element.

摘要: Methods and systems for communicating between autonomous vehicles are described herein. Such communication may be performed for signaling, collision avoidance, path coordination, and/or autonomous control. A computing device may receive data for the same road segment from autonomous vehicles, including (i) an indication of a location within the road segment, and (ii) an indication of a condition of the road segment. The computing device may generate, from the data for the same road segment, an overall indication of the condition of the road segment, which may include a recommendation to vehicles approaching the road segment. Additionally, the computing device may receive a request from a computing device within a vehicle approaching the road segment to display vehicle data. The overall indication for the road segment may then be displayed on a user interface of the computing device.

摘要: Methods and systems for assessing, detecting, and responding to malfunctions involving components of autonomous vehicle and/or smart homes are described herein. Autonomous operation features and related components can be assessed using direct or indirect data regarding operation. Such assessment may be performed to determine the condition of components for salvage following a collision or other loss-event. To this end, the information regarding a plurality of components may be received. A component of the plurality of components may be identified for assessment. Assessment may including causing test signals to be sent to the identified component. In response to the test signal, one or more responses may be received. The received response may be compared to an expected response to determine whether the identified component is salvageable.

摘要: A fingerprint data reset system that may reset registered fingerprint data through an on-board diagnostics includes: a vehicle including a first controller configured to authenticate input fingerprint data based on comparison between the input fingerprint data and registered fingerprint data; and the on-board diagnostics configured to communicate with a plurality of controllers of the vehicle through an in-vehicle communication network of the vehicle, wherein the on-board diagnostics is configured to transmit a fingerprint reset request signal to the first controller among the plurality of controllers based on receiving a user input for resetting the registered fingerprint data, and the first controller is configured to determine whether the user input is received from a user of the vehicle based on the fingerprint reset request signal, and reset the registered fingerprint data based on a determination that the user input is received from the user of the vehicle.
