摘要: A composite of metal and carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic according to the present invention comprising a predetermined metal member, a resin layer positioned at a surface of at least part of the metal member and containing an inorganic filler having a thermal conductivity of 20 W/(m·K) or more, and carbon fiber reinforced plastic positioned on the resin layer and containing a predetermined matrix resin and carbon reinforcing fiber present in the matrix resin, the carbon reinforcing fiber being at least one of pitch-based carbon reinforcing fiber having a thermal conductivity of 180 to 900 W/(m·K) in range or PAN-based carbon reinforcing fiber having a thermal conductivity of 100 to 200 W/(m·K) in range, a content of the inorganic filler in the resin layer being 10 to 45 vol % in range with respect to a total volume of the resin layer, a number density of the inorganic filler present in a region of a width X μm from an interface of the resin layer and the carbon fiber reinforced plastic in a direction of the resin layer being 300/mm2 or more, where X μm is an average particle size of the inorganic filler.

Disclosed is a method and system for direct three-dimensional printing and assembly of an article of apparel, including designing a three-dimensional pattern for printing, positioning at least a portion of the article on a tray in a three-dimensional printing system, the portion being positioned substantially flat on the tray, printing a three-dimensional material directly onto the article using the designed pattern, curing the printed material, and removing the article from the three-dimensional printing system.

摘要: A composite oil pan for a work vehicle engine and a method of forming the composite engine oil pan include forming a sheet of metal into a first pan and open molding a fiber-reinforced polymer resin onto the first pan forming a second pan. The first pan has a first bottom wall and first peripheral walls extending from edges of the first bottom wall to define a sump, the first peripheral walls terminating in a first peripheral flange. The second pan has a second bottom wall and second peripheral walls abutting the first bottom wall and the first peripheral walls, the second peripheral walls terminating in a second peripheral flange. The first pan defines a thin metal structure with an inner surface extending across the first bottom wall, first peripheral walls and first peripheral flange; the second pan reinforces the first pan without abutting the inner surface.

摘要: A dual layer cured composite article is provided that has an outer part having an outer part thickness composed of a first resin matrix having between 50 and 70 total weight percent of the outer part being an outer part mixed fiber filler, the outer part mixed fiber filler having an outer part primary fiber:carbon fiber ratio of 0.05-20:1. An inner part complementary to the outer part is provided and has an inner part thickness composed of a second resin matrix having between 40 and 60 total weight percent of the inner part of an inner mixed fiber filler, the inner mixed fiber filler having an inner part primary fiber:carbon fiber ratio of less than said outer part primary fiber:carbon fiber ratio. A joinder between the outer part and the inner part is provided. A process for producing such an article is also provided.

A method of printing onto a base having an upper surface spaced from a lower surface by a base thickness includes dispensing a yarn from a nozzle of a printing system and selectively attaching the yarn to a first attachment region. The step of dispensing the yarn includes dispensing a heat-moldable material and a melt-resistant material. The step of selectively attaching the yarn to the first attachment region includes moving the nozzle into the first attachment region. The step of moving the nozzle into the first attachment region reduces the base thickness by a prodding distance. The heat-moldable material bonds to the first attachment region.
