摘要: A method and an apparatus are provided for performing passing sensing using wireless digital communications. The wireless digital communications are frame-based with a predefined frame structure. The method includes receiving a reference signal into to a reference channel, wherein the reference signal comprises a direct version of a radio frequency transmission as part of said wireless digital communications; receiving a surveillance signal into a surveillance channel; detecting and extracting portions of the reference signal corresponding to data transmissions based on said predefined frame structure; extracting portions of the surveillance signal corresponding to the extracted portions of the reference signal; performing a cross-correlation on the extracted portions of the reference signal and the surveillance signal to determine a range-Doppler surface; and providing a real-time display of said range-Doppler surface and/or of information derived therefrom.

摘要: A semiconductor device is disclosed comprising: a substrate having a surface comprising germanium; a layer of gallium on said surface; and a layer of gallium arsenide on the gallium covered surface. The semiconductor heterostructure of gallium arsenide on germanium is fabricated by the steps of: protecting by a shutter a surface comprising germanium in an environment having a partial pressure of arsenic less than 10−8torr; epitaxially growing a layer of gallium on the said surface immediately after exposure of said surface; and epitaxially growing a layer of gallium arsenide on the gallium covered surface.

摘要: An optimized coding sequence of human blood clotting factor eight (VIII) and a promoter may be used in vectors, such as rAAV, for introduction of factor VIII, and/or other blood clotting factors and transgenes. Exemplary of these factors and transgenes are alpha-1-antitrypsin, as well as those involved in the coagulation cascade, hepatocye biology, lysosomal storage, urea cycle disorders, and lipid storage diseases. Cells, vectors, proteins, and glycoproteins produced by cells transformed by the vectors and sequence, may be used in treatment.

摘要: A method of aligning masks for phase imaging or phase contrast imaging in X-ray apparatus using a pixel-type X-ray detector makes use of non-idealities of all real detectors. A mask may be provided before the sample to generate beams, adjacent to the pixels of the detector or both. The method includes moving the mask into a plurality of translational position increments and identifying the increment for which the intensity has a maximum or minimum. The identified value of the increment may vary over the pixels of the detector. Alignment positions are selected in which steps in a plot of the increment over the area of the detector are minimized and/or aligned with the rows and columns of pixels.
