Abstract:
A solvent composition comprising an organic solvent; dispersed nanoparticles; and a non-volatile electrolyte is provided. A method of forming a liquid composite composition is provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for repairing a structural weakness in an aircraft fuselage, or preventing the advancement of a structural weakness in an aircraft fuselage. Cold spray methods such as supersonic particle deposition have been shown to positively affect structural characteristics of sheet metal and lap joints as used in fuselage construction.
Abstract:
The various embodiments of the invention provide for relative movement of the substrate and a process head to access the entire wafer in a minimal space to conduct combinatorial processing on various regions of the substrate. The heads enable site isolated processing within the chamber described and method of using the same are described.

Abstract:
A two stage kinetic energy spray device has a first stage first nozzle having a receiving end that receives a particulate stream, an injection end located axially to the first nozzle receiving end, the injection end receiving the particulate stream from the receiving end. A second stage has a second nozzle, the second nozzle having a gas receiving portion that receives an effluent gas, a convergent portion that is downstream from the gas receiving portion and a divergent portion that is downstream from the convergent portion, the convergent portion and the divergent portion meeting at a throat. The particle stream is accelerated to a first velocity in the first nozzle located within the second nozzle divergent portion The effluent gas is accelerated to a second velocity in the second nozzle. First nozzle injection end chevrons allow mixing of particulate and supersonic effluent streams prior to exiting the spray device.
Abstract:
A fabric or belt and a method for forming such a fabric or belt, including a base support structure and at least one coating with the coating being applied by a thermal spray process.
Abstract:
A thermal spray coating composition comprising up to about 90 weight percent of the composition of a first thermoplastic material and up to about 50 weight percent of the composition of at least one additional thermoplastic material that is different from the first thermoplastic material. Additional components can be added to the empirical compositions in order to best additional secondary properties.
Abstract:
Provided is a resin coated member produced according to a coating method through HVOF spraying that comprises generating a combustion jet in a combustion chamber connected to one end of a barrel while controlling the temperature of the combustion jet by supply of an inert gas to the jet, feeding resin coating materials into the temperature-controlled combustion jet and leading them to pass through the barrel, and spouting the coating particles through a spout port along with the combustion jet therethrough to thereby coat the substrate surface; wherein the length of the barrel, the temperature of the combustion jet and the physical properties of the coating particles are defined so as to satisfy both the following formulae (1) and (2), and wherein the interface between the coating material and the substrate surface has a structure of such that the two break in each other with at least micron-pitch irregularities. Numerical Formula 1 α × t r > 0.5 ( 1 ) Numerical Formula 2 2.5
Abstract:
A powder of a barrier material (B) is after, having been melted, applied to a substrate of a of a polyolefin (A) according to flame spray coating process to give a shaped article, in which the barrier material (B) firmly adheres to the polyolefin (A) even when the surface of the substrate is not subjected to primer treatment. The shaped article is favorable to components to fuel containers, fuel tanks for automobiles, fuel pipes, etc.
