Abstract:
A lightweight carpet product includes a greige carpet having a primary backing and tufted fibers, a secondary backing including a nonwoven textile of synthetic fibers, and a thermoplastic adhesive composition adhered to the greige carpet and the secondary backing. The thermoplastic adhesive composition includes a modified polyethylene terephthalate (PET) having a crystallinity less than unmodified PET and a melting point from about 90° C. to about 150° C., and a particulate filler. Methods of manufacture include using a thermoplastic adhesive composition to adhere a greige carpet to a secondary backing to form a lightweight carpet product.
Abstract:
An adhesive strip usable for wrapping motor-vehicle cables has a woven support tape composed of warp yarns and weft yarns made of the same material and having a pair of opposite sides of which at least one has an adhesive coating. A yarn size of the weft yarns is greater than or equal to the yarn size of the respective warp yarns such that the size of the warp yarns measured in the weft direction is less than or equal to the size of the weft yarns measured in the warp direction. The weft yarns are twisted at more than 180 turns per meter of weft yarn. preferably at more than 400 turns per meter of weft yarn.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an implantable film and a prosthesis comprising such a film The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a non porous film intended to be implanted in the human body, said method comprising the following steps: preparation of a first film, called intermediate film, via gelling of a starting solution comprising at least one polymer selected in the group consisting of collagen, glycosaminoglycans, and mixtures thereof, immersion of said intermediate film in an alkaline composition comprising at least one C1-C4 alcohol, drying of the film obtained at the end of the immersing step. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a prosthesis comprising a textile support and such a film.
Abstract:
A primary carpet backing including at least a first and a second layer of fibers, characterized in that both the first and the second layer of fibers is a nonwoven layer of randomly laid fibers, that both the first layer of fibers and the second layer of fibers has a uniform composition throughout the layer, wherein the linear density of the fibers is in the range of 1 to 25 dtex, wherein both the first layer of fibers and second layer includes at least two different polymers and wherein at least one polymer included in the first layer is different from the polymers included in the second layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a thermosetting resin sandwich prepreg, and the copper clad laminates and multi-layered printed circuit wiring boards manufactured therefrom. The interlayer of the thermosetting resin sandwich prepreg contains the thermosetting resin composition with a high content of fillers, and the outer layer of the prepreg contains the thermosetting resin composition with a low content of fillers. The copper clad laminates prepared by using the prepregs have good adhesion to metal foils, insulativity and uniform dielectric constant distribution.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a motor vehicle part material structure for sound insulation for the motor vehicle interior and motor vehicle trunk, namely floor mats floor coverings, and trunk linings, that makes it possible to industrially implement complete reprocessing of the entire composite, in particular the fiber material. The motor vehicle part has a PIT fiber layer, an optional substrate layer made of PET and/or COPET, an optional PET adhesive layer, a PET adhesive layer, a layer made of PET fiber nonwoven & brie or woven fabric, and an insulating layer made of PET/COPET.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a surface-waterproof sheet for inorganic boards including multi-use non-woven fabrics and a waterproof coating layer, and a method of manufacturing the same. The method includes preparing a multi-use non-woven fabric composed of cellulose fibers, glass fibers and organic fibers; preparing a waterproof coating solution containing a powdery acrylic binder, water, an inorganic filler, a water repellent, a pigment and an antimicrobial agent; and coating the waterproof coating solution on the multi-use non-woven fabric, followed by drying the waterproof coating solution, thereby providing surface-waterproof sheet for inorganic boards for buildings, which has improved adhesion to the inorganic board and economic feasibility.
Abstract:
An artificial turf filament has a cross-section that includes a central area and two wing areas integral with said central area. Further a bundle of a plurality of artificial turf filaments is proposed, wherein the artificial turf filaments are held together by one or more wrapping filaments wrapped around said artificial turf filaments. The wrapping filaments cross each other at cross points, and are bonded, preferably releasable bonded, to one another at said cross points. Also the wrapping filaments are bonded, preferably releasable bonded, to said artificial turf filaments.
Abstract:
A yarn for strands of an artificial turf ground cover, including a tape filament (4) having a core layer (8) and two outer layers (9) of a different material than the core layer (8), each on one of two opposite sides of the core layer. The core layer (8) contains at least polyester or polyolefin material, and the outer layers (9) contain high-density polyethylene. An artificial turf ground cover and a playing field including such a yarn and a method for producing such a yarn are also described. The high-density polyethylene has a relatively small coefficient of friction with the human skin and the yarn has a good shape recovery after deformation in spite of containing HDPE in outer layers.
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to cushioned flooring products. More particularly, the present invention pertains to cushioned carpet tiles and carpet and processes for making the same. The cushioned carpet tiles and carpet of the present invention comprise a modified secondary backing material having a scrim material and a non-woven fiber batt, where the non-woven fiber batt is made up of a plurality of fibers. The fibers of the non-woven fiber batt are needled into the scrim material so that the non-woven fiber batt is durably attached to the scrim material.
