Abstract: A method of manufacturing a hollow stabilizer includes a forming step of subjecting an element pipe to a bending process, to form a product shape including bent portions, and a quenching step of quenching the element pipe subjected to the bending process. In the quenching step, a cooling process is performed by immersing the element pipe made of steel in coolant and by spraying the coolant to an outer surface of the bent portion.

Abstract: A coil spring modeling apparatus includes a first attachment member disposed on a lower spring seat, a second attachment member disposed on an upper spring seat, an actuator unit formed of a Stewart-platform-type parallel mechanism, a spring height detection mechanism, and a controller. The spring height detection mechanism is constituted of displacement gauges such as a linear variable differential transformer. These gauges are provided on hydraulic cylinders, and detect amounts of displacement relative to the reference lengths of the hydraulic cylinders, respectively. A hydraulic pressure supply device is controlled by the controller and supplies fluid pressure according to the displacement detected by the gauges to the respective hydraulic cylinders.

Abstract: A stabilizer manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a stabilizer to which rubber bushes are heat-bonded is provided with a curing furnace in which high-frequency induction heating is performed, a conveyor for conveying the stabilizer in a conveying direction through the curing furnace, the rubber bushes being pressure-bonded to bonding locations on the stabilizer on which an adhesive layer is formed, power supply devices for supplying power to coils used in the high-frequency induction heating, and coils for generating a magnetic field in portions to be heated of the stabilizer near the bonding locations and for heating the portions to be heated; the coils being separated by a predetermined distance from the portions to be heated of a predetermined number of stabilizers conveyed in the conveying direction.

Abstract: A stainless steel spring with excellent corrosion resistance and fatigue strength is provided by performing: a process of drawing a steel wire at a specific degree of drawing ε, the steel wire containing, in percentage by mass, C in an amount of 0.08% or lower, Si in an amount of 0.3% to 2.0%, Mn in an amount of 3.0% or lower, Ni in an amount of 8.0% to 10.5%, Cr in an amount of 16.0% to 22.0%, Mo in an amount of 0.5% to 3.0%, and N in an amount of 0.15% to 0.23%, with a remainder being made up of Fe and impurities; a process of obtaining a coiled steel wire; a process of heat treatment at from 500° C. to 600° C., and from 20 minutes to 40 minutes; a process of nitriding to form a nitride layer having a thickness of from 40 μm to 60 μm on a surface of the steel wire; a process of shot peening; and a process of heat treatment.
