A method for manufacturing a gas separating unit which comprises laminating a metal plate on a material capable of separating a hydrogen gas (palladium alloy foil) by cladding, etching selectively a central portion of a cut clad plate (K) using an etching solution, to thereby expose an underlying palladium alloy foil layer, and providing a metal supporting plate on the other side of the palladium alloy foil layer. The method allows the manufacture of a gas separating unit having an enhanced effective area of a material capable of separating a hydrogen gas and is excellent in the handlability of a material capable of separating a hydrogen gas during manufacturing.

There is disclosed an arithmetic unit in which two numeral values a and b are inputted, and the two numerical values a and b are subjected to a predetermined operation process, so that a numerical value c representative of an operation result is derived. The arithmetic unit has an absolute value operation unit for evaluating an absolute value |c| of the numerical value c, and a sign operation unit for evaluating a sign “sign (c)” of the numerical value c.

There may be further disposed a main premixing fuel injection unit to an outside of the second premixing combustion nozzle unit.

A planar flat member is curved to form a liner shell of a cylindrical shape, the cylindrical member is welded in the longitudinal direction thereof to form a cylindrical shell. Then a wavy configuration and a corrugated configuration are formed on the cylindrical shell by a hydro-bulging method, cooling holes are formed through the liner shell by laser drilling at or near wave crest portions of the wavy configuration of the liner shell, and inner rings are attached to the liner shell by resistance spot welding or vacuum brazing.

A gas turbine combustor for a gas turbine plant comprises an outer casing and a combustor liner disposed in the outer casing, the interior of the combustor liner constituting a combustor chamber divided into a first stage of combustion area and a second stage of combustion area, disposed downstream of the first stage combustion area. The gas turbine combustor further comprises a nozzle member for supplying a first stage fuel into the first stage combustion area, a header for supplying a second stage fuel into the second stage combustion area, and a header for further supplying water or water vapor into the first stage combustion area. The nozzle member and both the headers are disposed in an end plate closing one end of the outer casing in a concentrical fashion. The flow rates of the first and second stage fuels and the water vapor are controlled by a control unit equipped with the gas turbine combustor.
