    摘要: An apparatus for cleansing wounds in which irrigant fluid from a reservoir connected to a conformable wound dressing and wound exudate from the dressing are moved by a device (which may be a single pump or two pumps) for moving fluid through a flow path which passes through the dressing and a means for providing simultaneous aspiration and irrigation of the wound. The apparatus also comprises means to apply high frequency vibrational energy, e.g. ultrasound, to the wound bed. The former removes materials deleterious to wound healing, while distributing materials that are beneficial in promoting wound healing over the wound bed. The latter promotes healing. The dressing and a method of treatment using the apparatus.

    摘要: A portable therapeutic device and method of use generate longitudinally propagating ultrasound and shear waves generated by such longitudinally propagating ultrasound to provide effective healing of wounds. A transducer having an operative surface is disposed substantially adjacent to the wound to emit ultrasound to propagate in the direction of the wound to promote healing. Reflections of the ultrasound by bone tissue, by skin layers, or by internally disposed reflective media propagate toward the wound as longitudinal waves, with shear waves generated by the longitudinal waves for the healing of the wound. A focusing element is used for focusing the propagation of the ultrasound at a predetermined angle toward the wound. The operative surface of the transducer may be annularly shaped to encircle the wound to convey the ultrasound and/or reflected ultrasound thereto. A housing may be provided for positioning the transducer near a portion of the skin near the wound, and for indenting the skin to form a cavity, with the transducer disposed in the cavity to emit the ultrasound toward an internal surface of the wound. Fixture structures, such as adjustable straps, may extend about a portion of the body to position the transducer near the wound.

    摘要: An ultrasound-assisted wound cleanser in the form of a handheld device includes an integrated vibration motor, an integrated ultrasound generator, an integrated energy source for the vibration motor and the ultrasound generator, and a replaceable cleansing attachment which can be driven by the vibration motor for abrasively removing wound coatings. The cleansing attachment has an acoustic transducer which is designed to convert the electric oscillations generated by the ultrasound generator into sound waves, a device for reinforcing and/or distributing and/or transferring the ultrasound waves, and bristles and/or lamellas for the abrasive removal. Further, a method for cleansing wounds includes moving a cleansing attachment with bristles for abrasively removing wound coatings by a vibration motor. The cleansing attachment is oscillated by an ultrasound generator, and the oscillations for supporting the removal of wound coatings are transmitted into the wound via a transmission medium.
