摘要: This application relates to techniques for dynamically determining whether to engage an autonomous controller of a vehicle. A computing system may receive a request to engage the autonomous controller (e.g., autonomous mode) of the vehicle. In some examples, the request may be received from a simulation computing system configured to test an updated autonomous controller in a simulation. Based on a determination that conditions associated with engaging autonomy are satisfied, the computing system engages the autonomous controller. Based on a determination that conditions associated with engaging autonomy are not satisfied, the computing system disables the engagement of the autonomous controller such that the vehicle is controlled according to an initial operational mode (e.g., manual mode, semi-autonomous mode, previous version of the autonomous controller, etc.).

摘要: A vehicle electronic control device includes a detection device configured to detect a state of an occupant, a first control device, and a second control device. The second control device is configured to refer to a database defining a relationship between the state of the occupant and a first time and to autonomously drive the vehicle at speeds equal to or lower than the maximum allowable speed from a switching time that is the time at which the first control device becomes unable to control the vehicle. The database is set in such a manner that the maximum allowable speed corresponding to a second state of the occupant is lower than the maximum allowable speed corresponding to a first state of the occupant when the first time corresponding to the second state is longer than the first time corresponding to the first state.

摘要: A content information acquiring unit acquires content information including a watching-or-listening time period of content that an occupant of a vehicle desires to watch or listen to. A position information acquiring unit acquires position information of the vehicle. A road information acquiring unit acquires road information including information regarding an autonomous driving section and a manual driving section. A route setting unit sets a route in which the vehicle travels through the autonomous driving section in the watching-or-listening time period of the content on the basis of the content information, the position information, and the road information. A notification unit notifies the occupant of the vehicle of the route set by the route setting unit.

摘要: An autonomous driving arrangement for a motor vehicle having wheels includes an autonomous driving system, and a sensor detecting a condition of a human driver. A driving control device is engaged by a hand or foot of the driver to thereby enable the driver to control the wheels by engaging the driving control device. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to each of the autonomous driving system, the sensor, and the driving control device. The processor receives signals from the sensor. In response to the signals indicating that the driver is ready to drive the motor vehicle, the processor enables the driving control device and disables the autonomous driving system. In response to the signals indicating that the driver is unready to drive the motor vehicle, the processor refrains from enabling the driving control device and continues to enable the autonomous driving system to control the wheels.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods capable of adaptively estimating time-to-take over during ODD exit events, by estimating the recovery time for driver and the action time required to safely handle the situation. In more detail, the proposed system allows for field monitoring for online verification (i.e., in-vehicle verification) of adaptive hand over time, and for facilitated updating of the systems predicting the hand-over time (i.e., Action Time Network and Reaction Time Network) in a decoupled manner by efficient use of data from field monitoring.

摘要: A driving handover control device includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. In a case in which driving is handed over from a first state in which a vehicle travels in accordance with instruction from a remote operator of the vehicle to a second state in which the vehicle travels in accordance with operation by a passenger of the vehicle, the processor implements a transition from the first state to a third state in which the vehicle travels autonomously without instruction from the remote operator or operation by the passenger, and, after the transition from the first state to the third state, implements a transition from the third state to the second state.

摘要: The information processing device extracts one or a plurality of autonomously drivable sections in the traveling route of the vehicle to the destination. Further, the information processing device specifies the first section having the longest autonomous driving continuable time on the traveling route. Then, the information processing device outputs the autonomous driving continuable time in the first section.

摘要: When transitioning from both prohibition state that prohibit a specific action and a hand release during an execution of the autonomous driving to a specific action permission state that permits a driver to execute a specific action other than a driving operation, a presentation control device presents information indicating that the transition is allowable prior to information indicating that the transition is executed. When transitioning from a hand release permission state that prohibits the specific action and permits hand release from a steering wheel to the specific action permission state, the presentation control device presents the information indicating that the transition is allowable and the information indicating that the transition is executed at a same time.

摘要: A vehicle display control device, includes a memory; and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to cause a display unit provided in a vehicle cabin to display an inducement image requesting that an occupant grip a steering wheel in a case in which it is necessary for the occupant to grip the steering wheel, and cause the display unit to display the inducement image more prominently in a case of requesting that the occupant grip the steering wheel before the vehicle switches from an autonomous driving mode to a manual driving mode as the vehicle is continuing to drive autonomously, than in a case of requesting that the occupant continue to grip the steering wheel as the vehicle is continuing to drive autonomously.

摘要: This disclosure relates to a system and method for determining vehicle operator preparedness for vehicles that support both autonomous operation and manual operation. The system includes sensors configured to generate output signals conveying information related to vehicles and their operation. During autonomous vehicle operation, the system gauges the level of responsiveness of an individual vehicle operator through challenges and corresponding responses. Based on the level of responsiveness, a preparedness metric is determined for each vehicle operator individually.
