摘要: Methods of preparing high-density polyethylene (HDPE) nanocomposites by in situ polymerization with a zirconocene catalyst, a methylaluminoxane cocatalyst, a calcium zirconate nanofiller in a solvent. The calcium zirconate nanofiller, which is dispersed across the polyethylene matrix, is found to enhance catalyst activity, and other properties of the HDPE nanocomposites produced, including but not limited to flame retardency, crystallinity and surface morphology.

摘要: A method comprising calcining a catalyst precursor comprising chromium and a silica support material at a temperature in the range of from about 95° C. to about 400° C. in a bed fluidized by a gas flowing at a volumetric flow rate of from about 2.5 to about 30 times the settled volume of the bed per minute to form a calcined catalyst precursor. A method comprising calcining a catalyst precursor comprising chromium and silica at a temperature in the range of from about 95° C. to about 400° C. with a gas flowing through the bed at a gas hourly space velocity of from about 15 to about 200 per hour. A method comprising calcining a catalyst precursor comprising chromium and silica at a temperature in the range of from about 95° C. to about 400° C. with a gas flowing through the bed at a weight hourly space velocity of from about 1.9 to about 240 per hour.

摘要: A process may include contacting ethylene monomer with Ziegler-Natta catalyst to form polyethylene. The Ziegler-Natta catalyst may be formed by contacting an alkyl magnesium compound with an alcohol and a metal reagent to form a blend, and contacting the blend with a first agent to form a solution of reaction product “A”. The solution of reaction product “A” may be contacted with a second agent to form a solid reaction product “B”, and the solid reaction product “B” may be contacted with a third agent to form a solid reaction product “C”. The solid reaction product “C” may be contacted with a fourth agent to form a solid reaction product “D”, and the solid reaction product “D” may be contacted with a fifth agent to form a catalyst component.

摘要: Oxidative dehydrogenation of paraffins to olefins provides a lower energy route to produce olefins. Oxidative dehydrogenation processes may be integrated with a number of processes in a chemical plant such as polymerization processes, manufacture of glycols, and carboxylic acids and esters. Additionally, oxidative dehydrogenation processes can be integrated with the back end separation process of a conventional steam cracker to increase capacity at reduced cost.
