摘要: A curable formaldehyde-free binding composition for use with fiberglass is provided. Such curable composition comprises an addition product of an amine and a reactant to form an amino-amide intermediate. To the amino-amide is added an aldehyde or ketone to form the curable binder composition. The composition when applied to fiberglass is cured to form a water-insoluble binder which exhibits good adhesion to glass. In a preferred embodiment the composition when applied to fiberglass provides a sufficient blackness required in facer products.

摘要: Embodiments of the present description provide methods for increasing the concentration of carboxymethylcellulose alkali solutions that are particularly suitable for use in a high solids paper coating, barrier materials, etc. Generally described, the method includes dissolving carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and an alkali salt in water to obtain an alkali solution of CMC. The CMC desirably has a degree of substitution less than about 0.9. The alkali solution of CMC includes CMC in a concentration greater than about 9.8% by weight, has a pH from about 7.5 to about 11, and is characterized as having a viscosity of less than about 5,000 mPa.

摘要: The present invention addresses the problem of providing an electrically conductive composition which can be used for producing an electric storage device such as a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery (e.g., a lithium ion secondary battery) having excellent electric conductivity during an ordinary operation and therefore having excellent battery output properties and the like and also having a function of increasing internal resistance when the internal temperature of the battery is increased, and which enables the production of an electric storage device such as a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent electric conductivity and safety-related functions. The problem can be solved by an electrically conductive composition comprising an electrically conductive carbon material (A), a water-soluble resin (B), water-dispersible resin microparticles (C), an aqueous liquid medium (D), and optionally a water-soluble polyvalent metal compound (E), said composition being characterized in that the water-dispersible resin microparticles contain at least olefin resin microparticles.

Methods for manufacturing ionically cross-linked compositions of carboxypolysaccharides, polyalkylene oxides, polyhydroxyl organic anions, optionally divalent cations, and aqueous media are also provided. Such compositions can be used by placing then in proximity to a tissue in need of lubrication or for prevention of adhesions and adhesion reformation.

摘要: A process for preparing an aqueous solution of a methylcellulose having anhydroglucose units joined by 1-4 linkages wherein hydroxy groups of anhydroglucose units are substituted with methyl groups such that s23/s26 is 0.36 or less, wherein s23 is the molar fraction of anhydroglucose units wherein only the two hydroxy groups in the 2- and 3-positions of the anhydroglucose unit are substituted with methyl groups and wherein s26 is the molar fraction of anhydroglucose units wherein only the two hydroxy groups in the 2- and 6-positions of the anhydroglucose unit are substituted with methyl groups, comprises the step of mixing the methylcellulose with an aqueous liquid at a temperature of not higher than 10° C. at a shear rate of at least 1000 s−1.

摘要: Provided is a cationic group-containing cellulose which, when incorporated in a hair wash composition, is able to give an excellent smootheness feeling and its sustained feeling in rinsing and give a good coat feeling, and which, when incorporated in a skin cleanser composition, is able to give an excellent moist feeling to the skin after washing and drying, and also provided are a surfactant composition, a hair wash composition, a skin cleanser composition, a hair conditioner composition and a hair treatment composition containing the cellulose ether. [1] A cationic group-containing cellulose ether, which has a main chain derived from an anhydroglucose, and in which the degree of substitution with a cationized oxyalkylene group per the anhydroglucose unit is from 0.01 to 1.0, the degree of substitution with a glycerol group is from 0.5 to 5.0, and the degree of substitution with a group that contains a branched hydrocarbon group having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms and has a specific structure is from 0.001 to 0.2; [2] a surfactant composition containing the cationic group-containing cellulose ether, a surfactant and water; [3] a hair wash composition, a skin cleanser composition, a hair conditioner composition and a hair treatment composition containing the cationic group-containing cellulose ether, a surfactant and water.

摘要: A mixture of a cellulose derivative and a liquid diluent is prepared which comprises at least 5 weight percent of the cellulose derivative, based on the total weight of the cellulose derivative and the liquid diluent. The mixing operating causes air to be entrapped in the mixture. The time for at least partially removing entrapped air is reduced by providing a cellulose derivative having a specific surface area of less than 0.20 m2/g measured by BET method for preparing the mixture.

摘要: An edible film useful for applying a flavoring additive to a food item is disclosed. The edible film generally includes an edible carboxymethyl cellulose film-forming resin and an edible plasticizer. The carboxymethyl cellulose film-forming resin is preferably a blend of two different carboxymethyl celluloses having different molecular weights. The edible film preferably includes additional additives, for example an edible surfactant and an edible tackifier. The edible film can suitably accept a food flavoring ingredient to form a flavored film that can be used to apply a flavor to a food item.
