Abstract:
A novel acidic heteropolysaccharide which comprises as its structural units arabinose, mannose, galactose, glucuronic acid, and xylose, at a specific ratio. The polysaccharide can be prepared by culturing a callus induced from a plant belonging to the genus Polianthes L. in a culture medium containing plant hormones. The polysaccharide can be used as a component of agents for external application and detergents, and provides good moisturizing effects and a smooth, satisfying feeling upon use. When formulated in detergents, they produce remarkable improvement in a clean, rich feeling upon use.
Abstract:
A heat-resistant galvanized iron alloy wire is disclosed. The wire is comprised of an iron alloy wire core which may be an Fe-Ni type alloy. The core is coated on its periphery with a Zn-Al alloy. The alloy is comprised of 0.2 to 1.0 wt % Al with the balance being Zn, provided that Pb is present in an amount of less than 0.05 wt % and Sb is present in an amount of less than 0.02 wt %. The Zn-Al alloy may contain small amounts of typical impurities or compounds included in order to prevent the oxidation of the Zn or Al. The resulting wire has excellent heat-resistant properties.
Abstract:
A process for producing a printed-wiring board is disclosed. The process involves providing a metal carried support surface and forming a resist pattern on the metal surface comprised of a silicone rubber material. The support surface where there is not resist is metal plated to provide metal plated surface portions which are contact bonded to a insulating base material by interposing an adhesive between the insulating base material and the metal surface portions or contact bonded to an uncured base material having an adhesive force. The contact bonding is carried out in order to transfer the metal surface portions onto the base material thus forming the conductor pattern on the base material and producing the printing-wiring board. The process eliminates the loss of expensive copper foil and provides a method by which the base material can be securely bonded to the metal portions forming the printed-wiring board.
Abstract:
Pretreatment baths for silver plating are proposed which include dithiocarbamic acids or their salts and/or thiosemicarbazides or their salts. They are effective in preventing the immersion plating in the subsequent silver plating.
Abstract:
A non-allergenic lanolin or a derivative thereof which does not contain any substances which have an Rf value of less than 0.38 with a chloroform solvent or less than 0.14 with a benzene solvent, in thin layer chromatography using magnesium silicate having a thickness of 0.25 mm as the adsorbent.
Abstract:
An information processing device includes a first input interface to receive data transferred in a first transfer mode in which a plurality of elements of the data each belonging to a same line of a plurality of lines are transferred in parallel, a second input interface to receive data transferred in a second transfer mode in which a plurality of elements of the data each belonging to a corresponding one of the plurality of lines are transferred in parallel, a mode selection circuit to change a transfer mode of the data from the second input interface from the second transfer mode to the first transfer mode based on a signal indicating selection of the second input interface, and an output interface to output one of the data from the first input interface and the data from the second input interface.
Abstract:
A mobile electronic equipment includes a gyro sensor that detects an angular velocity, a first housing with the gyro sensor disposed therein, a second housing movably connected to the first housing, an angle formed between the respective housings being changed by movement of the first housing, and a control unit that calculates a change in an angle formed between the first housing and the second housing before and after the movement as a measured angle, based on output data of the gyro sensor. The control unit calculates a correction value for the output data of the gyro sensor based on the measured angle and a reference angle set in advance (see FIG. 1).
Abstract:
A control apparatus is disclosed that may communicate with a wireless terminal and an information processing device. The control apparatus includes a first obtaining unit configured to obtain position data of the wireless terminal; a second obtaining unit configured to obtain state information about the information processing device; a determining unit configured to make a determination that the position data obtained by the first obtaining unit indicates a predetermined location and the state information obtained by the second obtaining unit indicates a predetermined state; and a transmission unit configured to transmit to the information processing device a control signal causing the information processing device to execute predetermined processing in response to the determination made by the determining unit.
Abstract:
Reduction in cooling rate of a substrate having a lower temperature is suppressed because the substrate having a lower temperature is not affected by radiant heat of a substrate having a higher temperature while cooling a plurality of substrates in a cooling chamber. The substrate processing apparatus includes a load lock chamber configured to accommodate stacked substrates; a first transfer mechanism having a first transfer arm provided with a first end effector, and configured to transfer the substrates into/from the load lock chamber at a first side of the load lock chamber; a second transfer mechanism having a second transfer arm provided with a second end effector, and configured to transfer the substrates into/from the load lock chamber at a second side of the load lock chamber; a barrier installed between the substrates to be spaced apart from the substrates supported by a substrate support provided in the load lock chamber; and an auxiliary barrier unit installed between the substrate support and the barrier, wherein the auxiliary barrier unit is installed at places other than standby spaces of the end effectors.
Abstract:
Provided is a surface contamination monitor that includes a hand and foot contamination monitor that can be relocated to an inspection site in a simple manner. A surface contamination monitor has a folding mechanism that allows folding a monitor main body, and comprises a base whose top face is provided with radiation detection elements for measurement of a foot portion, a support column provided at a center of a far side of the top face of the base, and an upper unit, which is fixed to a top end portion of the support column, and on which there are provided radiation detection elements for measurement of a hand portion. The folding mechanism allows the support column to bend towards the top face of the base by way of a first hinge and to bend towards an opposite side by way of a second hinge.
