Abstract:
This invention provides an adhesive agent with a stronger adhesive force that can adhere and be peeled reversibly with the irradiation of light. With the use of a liquid crystalline polymer compound containing azobenzene or a sugar alcohol derivative containing a hydroxyl group and azobenzene, a photo-reactive adhesive agent that can strongly adhere to and be peeled from a substrate reversibly with the irradiation of light can be obtained.

Abstract:
A laminate body includes a base material, a film-like or a membrane-like undercoat layer that is formed in at least a portion of the outer surface of the base material, and an atomic layer deposition film that is formed on a surface opposite to a surface coming into contact with the base material among both surfaces of the undercoat layer in the thickness direction thereof. At least a portion of precursors of the atomic layer deposition film bind to the undercoat layer, and the atomic layer deposition film is formed into a membrane shape covering the undercoat layer.
Abstract:
Synthesis methods for creating polymeric compounds comprising dihydroxyphenyl derivatives (DHPD), or DHPp i.e. polymers modified with DHPD, with desired surface active effects are described. The polymer backbone of DHPp has structural or performance features that can be tailored to control physical properties of DHPp, allowing it to be useful for different applications i.e. tissue adhesives or sealants, adhesion promoting coatings, and antifouling coatings.

Abstract:
A circuit-connecting material which is interposed between circuit electrodes facing each other and electrically connects the electrodes in the pressing direction by pressing the facing electrodes against each other; the circuit-connecting material comprising as essential components (1) a curing agent capable of generating free radicals upon heating, (2) a hydroxyl-group-containing resin having a molecular weight of 10,000 or more and (3) a radical-polymerizable substance. Also provided are a circuit terminal connected structure and a circuit terminal connecting method which make use of such a material.
Abstract:
A hot-melt adhesive composition comprises a blend of at least one acidic polymer and at least one basic polymer. At least one of the polymers is a hot-melt adhesive. Thermally reversible crosslinks are formed between each of the two polymers. These crosslinks impart cohesive strength to the applied adhesive, without sacrificing ease of processing.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a composition which affords a hardened product exhibiting superior electrical insulating properties, adhesiveness, or the like at the time of hardening the composition. The present invention provides a composition comprising a compound having a group represented by the general formula (I): 1 (in the formula, R1, R2, and R3 are identical or different, and represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; X, Y, and Z are identical or different, and represent an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, and at least two of X, Y, and Z represent a sulfur atom), and a compound having two or more acidic groups.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an emulsion for pressure-sensitive adhesive, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive product which exhibits high water resistance and high adhesion properties. The emulsion for pressure-sensitive adhesive includes as essential components: a pressure-sensitive adhesive polymer (A) having a glass-transition temperature of −80 to −20° C., a weight-average molecular weight of 150,000 or larger, and a carboxylic acid value of 30 or smaller; a rosin derivative (B) having a weight-average molecular weight of 100,000 or smaller, and containing at least part of the carboxyl groups being alkali salt with a carboxylic acid value of 190 or larger before alkalization; and a compound (C) having a weight-average molecular weight of 100,000 or smaller, and having no carboxyl group but having at least one functional group reactive with a carboxyl group in its molecule. The amount of the rosin derivative (B) is 2 to 30 mass percent when the total amount of the pressure-sensitive adhesive polymer (A) and the rosin derivative (B) in the emulsion is defined as 100 mass percent, and the compound (C) is contained in the emulsion so that the functional group of the compound (C) is in an amount of 0.05 to 10 equivalent with respect to one equivalent of the carboxyl groups of the rosin derivative (B) before alkalization.
