摘要: The present disclosure provides peptides and constructs that inhibit mitochondrial fission, and compositions comprising the peptides or constructs. The present disclosure provides methods of reducing abnormal mitochondrial fission in a cell. Also provided are methods for designing and validating mitochondrial fission inhibitor constructs and peptides, including but not limited to, evaluating the effects of the constructs and peptides on binding of dynamin-1-related protein (Drp1) GTPase activity, Drp1 to mitochondrial fission 1 protein (Fis1), reduction of mitochondrial damage, reduction in cell death, inhibition of mitochondrial fragmentation in a cell under pathological conditions, and reduced loss of neurites in primary dopaminergic neurons in a Parkinsonism cell culture.

摘要: A vaccine composition comprising a fusion protein for inducing enhanced pathogen antigen-specific T cell responses is disclosed. The fusion protein comprises: (a) an antigen-presenting cell (APC)-binding domain or a CD91 receptor-binding domain, located at the N-terminus of the fusion protein; (b) a translocation peptide of 34-112 amino acid residues in length, comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO: 4, 2, 3, or 6, located at the C-terminus of the APC-binding domain or the CD91 receptor-binding domain; and (c) an antigen of a pathogen, located at the C-terminus of the translocation peptide; (d) a nuclear export signal, comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 13; and (e) an endoplasmic reticulum retention sequence, located at the C-terminus of the fusion protein.

摘要: The present invention relates to the field of applied and environmental microorganism and agriculture. Disclosed are a thifensulfuron hydrolase gene tsmE and uses thereof. The thifensulfuron hydrolase gene tsmE has a nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1, full length of 1194 bp, and G+C content of 51.09%, and encodes 398 amino acids with an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 2. The thifensulfuron hydrolase TsmE provided by the present invention can degrade completely 100 mg/L thifensulfuron within 1 hour into the herbicidally inactive product thiophenesulfonic acid; in addition, the TsmE also degrade completely 100 mg/L haloxyfop-R-methyl within 1 hour. Therefore, the thifensulfuron hydrolase gene tsmE is useful in construction of thifensulfuron-resistant transgenic crops and bioremediation of thifensulfuron or haloxyfop-R-methyl-contaminated environments.
