Abstract: One embodiment of a braking system for vehicles may have a first brake group and a second brake group. The first and second brake groups may have respective braking devices and electro-hydraulic actuator devices operatively connected to the first braking device. The system may also have an interconnection branch between first and the second hydraulic actuation ducts, provided with a control valve. The system may also have at least one control unit that may be programmed to actuate the control valve to control the ducts and fluidly connect the ducts.

Abstract: A vehicle gear-shifting control apparatus is equipped with an engine, a motor, an automatic transmission, a friction brake system, and a controller which executes, during deceleration during which the friction brake system is distributing a braking force to front and rear wheels, a regeneration control of imparting a regenerative braking torque to the rear wheels and a gear-shifting control of changing a shift stage of the automatic transmission by outputting a gear-shifting signal in accordance with the rotation speed of an input shaft to the transmission. When the controller determines an oversteered state of the vehicle during the regeneration control, the controller increases an input torque of the input shaft so that the regenerative braking torque decreases while maintaining the regeneration operation of the motor and, at the same time, interrupts motive power transmission between the input shaft and an output shaft of the transmission.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling a vehicle based on a driver status are disclosed. The vehicle control system includes various sensing devices (including a camera, a vehicle dynamics sensor, a vehicle around view monitoring (AVM) camera, a periphery surveillance sensor, and a navigation device) and an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU may analyze a driver status through the driver's face and pupils recognized by output signals of the sensing devices. If the driver has no intention to drive the vehicle, the ECU may control the vehicle to stop on a road shoulder, resulting in guarantee of safer driving.

Abstract: The disclosed vehicle braking device controls a hydraulic brake system (2) and a regeneration brake system (3) mounted on a vehicle (1) in accordance with an acceleration value and a brake value, and includes a first divider (11), a second divider (12), and a controller (13). The first divider (11) divides a driver demand torque set according to the accelerator value into a target coast torque and a remaining torque. The second divider (12) divides a sum of a deceleration torque set according to the brake value and the target coast torque divided by the first divider (11) into a hydraulic-brake demand torque and a regeneration-brake demand torque. The controller (13) controls the hydraulic brake system (2), using the hydraulic-brake demand torque, and controls the regeneration brake system (3), using a total regeneration brake torque calculated from the remaining torque and the regeneration-brake demand torque. This configuration can improve the feeling of operating the brake, resolving the feeling of the shortage of deceleration.

Abstract: The braking control device includes a control amount derivation unit that derives a target vehicle braking force representing a target value of a vehicle braking force applied, and a braking control unit that controls a regenerative braking device and a frictional braking device based on the target vehicle braking force. When the target vehicle braking force is increased, the braking control unit executes a braking force application process of increasing the frictional braking force applied to the wheel so that such frictional braking force becomes larger than the regenerative braking force applied to the wheel. When the target vehicle braking force is increased, the braking control unit executes a switching process of switching at least a part of the frictional braking force applied to the wheel to the regenerative braking force to increase the regenerative braking force applied to the wheel after execution of the braking force application process.

Abstract: A braking device includes: a reservoir; a master cylinder in which when the amount of operation performed on a brake pedal reaches or exceeds a predetermined amount, a port communicating between a pressure chamber and the reservoir is cut off and hydraulic pressure corresponding to the brake pedal operation amount is generated; a hydraulic pressure unit for adjusting the wheel cylinder hydraulic pressure; and a control unit for controlling the hydraulic pressure unit. The control unit determines, based on a temperature-related value related to the temperature of a friction member pressed by the wheel cylinder hydraulic pressure against a rotating member fixed to a wheel, whether the friction member is in a fade state. When the friction member is in a fade state, the control unit controls the hydraulic pressure unit to suction brake fluid from the reservoir through the port, and is fed to the wheel cylinder.
