    摘要: A device provides simple positioning of the patient's head and simple positioning of the TMS coil relative to a coordinate system of the patient's head once the head is positioned. The TMS coil is fixed at a treatment position in the coordinate system of the patient's head and the position in the coordinate system is recorded for use in subsequent clinical sessions. A positioner assembly supports the weight of the TMS coil and allows the operator to freely move the TMS coil to search for the patient's motor threshold position (MTP) and/or the treatment position (TXP). If the TXP is in registration with the MTP, once the MTP is determined, the positioner assembly requires only a single adjustment of the magnet position to locate the TXP where the coil is locked in place for the duration of the TMS therapy. By recording the positions of the different adjustable components in the respective coordinate directions of the coordinate system of the patient's head, exact repositioning of the TMS coil for the patient during a subsequent clinical visit is made possible without use of expensive imaging equipment.

    摘要: A device and method for respectively providing and using a small, portable, discreet, yet complete on-the-spot stain remover unit. The unit can be activated on-the-spot to remove accidentally spilled food or beverage stains by removing the appropriate modules or body portions to achieve the desired cleaning steps. The stain removing or cleaning unit has a main applicator body, two sub-applicator bodies and two end covers. The modules, when connected together, make up the complete cleaning kit. The unit is designed to enable a user to perform four basic steps for cleaning a stain the instant it occurs, i.e., detergent soak, soiled detergent pickup, rinse and final drying.

    摘要: A carpet cleaning machine for uniformly spreading a dry carpet cleaning powder onto a surface and working the dry carpet cleaning powder into the surface. The cleaning machine includes base having a hopper integrally formed therein, distribution slots on the bottom of the hopper, a rotary powder agitator inside the hopper, wheels for supporting the base over a floor surface and for rotating the powder agitator, a metering gate for controlling the dispensing of the dry carpet cleaning powder, a trigger located on the cleaner handle for controlling the metering gate, and a plurality of motor driven vertical axis rotary brushes for working the dry carpet cleaning powder into the carpet. The dry carpet cleaning powder is dispensed onto the carpet and allowed to sit for a short period of time to allow the dry carpet cleaning powder to absorb the dirt contained in the carpet. After the dry carpet cleaning powder has dried and absorbed dirt, the dry carpet cleaning powder and dirt are vacuumed from the carpet with an ordinary vacuum.

    摘要: An air sampler includes an inertial impactor with a compressible porous collector that receives particles greater than a lower threshold size from an air sample. Before reaching the collector, the air sample may pass through a sorter that prevents that removes particles above an upper threshold size. A mechanism transfers the compressible porous collector and base between the air sampler and a wash position outside of the air sampler. An agitator at the wash position may agitate the compressible porous collector to remove particles therefrom. The compressor may be wetted with various substances to facilitate particle collection from the air, preservation of particles on the collector, and removal of particles from the collector.

    摘要: A flat-bed scanner for scanning an original document, comprising a scanner housing and a scan carriage movably disposed for motion relative to the scanner housing. A sensing system is mounted to the scan carriage for scanning the original document. A media holder supports the original document for scanning along a scan line such that the original document is positioned at an object focal plane of the sensing system. The media holder support system dynamically maintains a portion of the original document proximate to the scan line coincident with the object focal plane during scanning. The support system includes a first mounting device pivotally attaching a first end of the media holder to the housing for allowing a pivot motion of the media holder with respect to the scanner housing and a second and a third mounting device are affixed and movable with the scan carriage for movably supporting the media holder during the motion of the carriage. The second and third mounting device support the media holder substantially below the scan line and proximate to marginal edges of the media holder outside the field of view of the scan line.
