    摘要: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing board (2), a board provided by the method, and a container formed from the same, such as a disposable drinking cup. According to the invention, fibre-based stock is doped with a polymer (6), ending in a pulp web that is formed of this pulp on a hoard machine wire, and in a hoard layer (3) that is obtained from the same by pressing and drying. When the board layer is heated, the polymer melts and water vapour bubbles penetrate it, rendering the layer porous. The polymer used for the doping can comprise, for example, a low density polyethylene (LDPE) that has a melt viscosity of about 15. Pore-generating heating can be carried out for the board or only for the container manufactured from it. The porous layer prevents the hot drink enjoyed from the cup from burning the fingers of the user.

    摘要: The invention relates to a multi-layer heat-sealable packaging material especially for food packages. In addition, objects of the invention are a food package formed of the said packaging material, a method of packaging, and the use of the material for packages. The packaging material (1) comprises a middle layer (3) of fibre material, such as cardboard; at least one polymeric protective layer (4, 5) protecting the product from going bad; and polymeric heat sealing layers (2, 7) preferably on both sides of the packaging material. According to the invention, the heat sealing layer (7) forming the inner surface of the closed package, is blended with light-absorbing pigment, such as carbon black, for protecting the product from visible light. By further blending white pigment, such as titanium dioxide, into the heat sealing layer (7), a grey tint resembling an aluminium foil has been achieved for the layer. The heat sealing polymer may be low-density polyethylene (PE-LD), and an oxygen and aroma proof sealing layer (4) of, for example, ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) or polyamide (PA) may be provided between it and the cardboard (3).

    摘要: The invention relates to a coated food paperboard (1), to the manufacturing process and use of the same, and to products obtained thereof. The paperboard (1) comprises one or several fibre material layers (2), such as a three-layer structure consisting of a middle layer (4) of a mixture of sulphate pulp and CTMP and of sulphate pulp layers (5) on both sides of it, and of a polymeric coating (3) getting into contact with food, either on one side or on both sides of the paperboard. According to the invention, the coating (3) consists of an outer layer (6), the melting point of the polymer used in which is at least 230° C., and of an inner layer (7) placed against the fibre material layer (5); in this inner layer, a polymer with a melting point of at least 230° C. is blended with another adhesive polymer, the melting point of which is 130-185° C. Further, the inner layer (7) may be provided with mineral substance, such as calcium carbonate. In accordance with the invention, the paperboard (1) is manufactured by coextrusion of superimposed polymeric layers (6, 7). The paperboard (1) of the invention is suitable for liquid packaging or oven board, and products manufactured of the paperboard comprise especially oven dishes and consumer packages for food, which include the dish and which may be heated as such.

    摘要: The invention is related to methods for manufacturing liquid-tight and gas-tight packaging board and a package, and products provided according to the said methods. According to the invention, a polymerizing reaction mixture is spread on paper or a board base of paperboard or cardboard, the mixture containing at least one silicon compound forming an inorganic, chain or crosslinked polymeric backbone containing alternating silicon and oxygen atoms, and at least one reactive, organic compound forming organic side chains and/or crosslinks in the polymeric backbone. The reaction mixture may form a colloidal solution in which, along with the polymerization, gelling takes place, whereupon the thus created gel is dried, densified and cured to form a liquid-tight and gas-tight layer of coating. In addition to oxygen and silicon, the said chain-like or crosslinked polymeric backbone can contain metal atoms which replace the silicon, and the organic compound can contain, as a reactive group, an epoxy, an amino, a carboxyl, a carbonyl, a vinyl or a methacrylate group. Furthermore, a joint-forming polymeric coating can be spread on the previously obtained, tight glassy layer of coating to close the manufactured package. Products, to which the paper or the board coated according to the invention can be applied, include milk and juice containers or similar packages of liquid foodstuffs, bag-type foodstuff packages, heat-sealed, peelable covers of containers and boxes, and microwave and conventional oven trays.
