摘要: The present invention relates to a braking arrangement for a vehicle, the braking arrangement comprising an electric machine electrically connectable to an electric power source, a brake compressor positioned in an air flow conduit, the brake compressor being configured to pressurize a flow of air and to exhaust the pressurized flow of air, and a compressor shaft mechanically connecting the electric machine and the brake compressor to each other, wherein the electric machine is configured to generate a torque on the compressor shaft for operating the brake compressor to pressurize the flow of air, the braking arrangement further comprising an air bearing arrangement, the air bearing arrangement being fluidly connectable to a pressurized brake air tank of the vehicle via an air bearing conduit, wherein the air bearing arrangement is suspending the compressor shaft to at least one of the electric machine and the brake compressor.

摘要: The invention relates to an internal combustion engine comprising a crankshaft, one or more cylinders including a cylinder head, a piston, a combustion chamber, one or more intake valves, one or more exhaust valves, an intake system configured for feeding intake air to the engine, an exhaust system configured for conveying exhaust gas away from the engine, a pressure charging system connected to the intake system and an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system arranged to feed branched off exhaust gas from the exhaust system to the intake system via an EGR conduit wherein: —the internal combustion engine includes a valve actuation device configured to allow for late or early closing of the intake valves in accordance with late or early Miller-type valve timing, and wherein—the EGR system includes a gas feeding device configured to feed exhaust gas through the EGR conduit in modes of operation wherein the pressure in the intake system exceeds the pressure in the exhaust system. Additionally, a method of improving efficiency of an internal combustion engine is described.

摘要: The invention relates to a method of operating a four stroke internal combustion engine system (1), the engine system (1) comprising:—a four stroke internal combustion engine (2) provided with an intake duct (5),—a turbo compressor (6″) arranged to compress intake flow in the intake duct (5), and—a displacement machine (7) provided in the intake duct (5) downstream the turbo compressor (6″), wherein the displacement machine (7) is arranged to displace intake flow from an inlet to an outlet thereof. The method comprises the step of: operating the displacement machine (7) in a first mode where a pressure ratio (PR) given by a pressure at the outlet of the displacement machine (7) divided by a pressure at the inlet of the displacement machine (7) is substantially equal to 1. The invention also relates to a four stroke internal combustion engine system arranged to be operated by the above method.

The cooling system is arranged, when the vehicle is operated in a braking mode, to control a first and a second radiator valve to direct a flow of fluid from a radiator through a first fluid circuit and prevent the flow of fluid from the radiator to enter the second fluid circuit, control a compressor arrangement to flow a refrigerant in a direction from a heat exchanger to a condenser of a third fluid conduit, and control a second circuit valve arrangement to direct a heat source fluid to circulate through a heat exchanger and an electric heat source.
