摘要： An extruder for welding plastic components, comprising a front part for plasticizing and ejecting additional plastic welding material, and a rear part, for feeding and breaking up a continuous filament made of the additional plastic material. The rear part comprises a feed channel that cooperates with a worm screw for the advancement of the filament. The feed channel is delimited by the thread of the worm screw on one side and by a sliding surface for the filament on the opposite side. The distance between the sliding surface and the crest of the thread decreases in the direction in which the filament is fed, in order to provide scoring of increasing depth on the filament. The thread comprises at least one discontinuity of the worm that has a sharp discontinuity end for cropping the filament at the scoring.

A multi-layered stretch film includes at least one nanolayer section, the nanolayer section comprising alternating substantially adjacent layers of a first random copolymer polypropylene (RCPP) resin and a second RCPP resin.

A single screw extruder having a very large screw length to diameter ratio is provided to thoroughly mix the thermoplastic elastomer with a blowing agent. A thin, substantially taperless die is also provided to form extruded profiles. By using such a process and apparatus, a variety of complex-shaped extruded profiles may be easily produced.

摘要： A fuel line comprising a thermoplastic composition is described. The thermoplastic compositions exhibit high strength and flexibility and can be used to form one or more layers of single layer or multi-layer fuel lines. Methods for forming the thermoplastic compositions are also described. Formation methods include dynamic vulcanization of a composition that includes an impact modifier dispersed throughout a polyarylene sulfide. A crosslinking agent is combined with the other components of the composition following dispersal of the impact modifier. The crosslinking agent reacts with the impact modifier to form crosslinks within and among the polymer chains of the impact modifier. The compositions can exhibit excellent physical characteristics at extreme temperatures.
