    Abstract: The invention includes a method for manufacturing a cycle wheel rim having, in radial cross section, two lateral flanges and a bridge, the rim having an outer surface facing outward of the rim and defined by the bridge and by at least a portion of the flanges. The manufacturing method includes the following: extruding a section; bending the section; assembling the ends of the hoop formed from the section by joining one to the another; drilling holes in the bridge for fastening the spokes; machining the entire outer surface in a radial plane and on at least a portion of the circumference of the rim.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a bicycle rim includes the following steps. A first bar of material and a second bar of material are formed by extrusion. The first bar and the second bar are respectively made into an arched section of material (unfinished external ring, unfinished internal ring) and cut. Excessive portions of the unfinished external and internal rings are cut from by trimming. The unfinished external and internal rings are assembled and interconnected to each other. The assembled unfinished external and internal rings are laterally pressed to promote a connection between the unfinished external and internal rings. The ends of the unfinished external ring are welded and connected to each other, and the ends of the unfinished internal ring are welded and connected to each other to from a rim structure. Any roughness of the rim structure is ground and the bicycle rim is finished.

    Abstract: A fabricated vehicle axle is shown to include a main body having an inverted U-shaped configuration. The fabricated vehicle axle further includes a continuous bottom plate welded to the main body. The fabricated axle also includes a first king pin top plate having a reversed curved fork portion welded to the main body at one end thereof. Similarly, the fabricated vehicle axle includes a second king pin top plate having a reversed curved fork portion welded to the main body at an opposite end thereof. Still further, the fabricated vehicle axle includes a first gooseneck part welded to the first king pin top plate and the first end of the bottom plate. Similarly, the fabricated vehicle axle includes a second gooseneck part welded to the second king pin top plate and the second end of the bottom plate.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a torsion beam type rear suspension which comprises a pair of right and left trailing arms (2), a torsion beam (3), and a spring seat (6) disposed in a corner region defined at a junction between each of the lateral ends of the torsion beam and a rear portion (2c) of a corresponding one of the trailing arms to form a mounting seat for a coil spring (8). A vertical flange (13) is formed along a laterally inner edge (12) of the spring seat to have a longitudinally front edge extending vertically along a rear side surface of the torsion beam. The spring seat has a first region (7b) of disposed opposed to the corresponding trailing arm and fixed thereto approximately in its entirety, and a second region (16) disposed opposed to the torsion beam and fixed thereto only through the vertical flange. The torsion beam type rear suspension of the present invention can improve the supporting rigidity of the spring seat relative to a coil spring without increasing the rigidities of the spring seat and trailing arm themselves, while allowing the risk of stress concentration occurring at an end of the torsion beam to be reduced, so as to achieve increased chassis rigidity and adequately maintain suspension functions.
