摘要: A process for the preparation of a catalyst composition, which process comprises: forming a carrier from a mixture comprising a pentasil zeolite, one or more porous refractory oxide binders selected from alumina, amorphous silica-alumina, aluminum phosphate, magnesia, chromia, titania, boria and silica, and an aqueous solution of a zirconia precursor, and impregnating said carrier with metal dopants comprising one or more Group 10 metals selected from platinum, palladium and mixtures thereof in a total amount in the range of from 0.001 to 1 wt. % and, optionally, in the range of from 0.01 to 0.5 wt. % tin, based on the total weight of the catalyst composition; a catalyst composition prepared by said process; and a process for the use of said catalyst composition in xylene isomerisation are provided.

摘要: An integrated, co-product capable process is provided for producing taurine in particular with optionally one or both of monoethanolamine and diethanolamine from one or more sugars, comprising pyrolyzing one or more sugars to produce a crude pyrolysis product mixture including glycolaldehyde and formaldehyde; optionally removing formaldehyde from the crude pyrolysis product mixture, then combining the crude pyrolysis product mixture with an aminating agent in the presence of hydrogen and further in the presence of a catalyst to produce at least monoethanolamine from the crude pyrolysis product mixture; optionally recovering diethanolamine from the crude reductive amination product, sulfating at least a portion to all of the monoethanolamine product to produce 2-aminoethyl hydrogen sulfate ester; and sulfonating the 2-aminoethyl hydrogen sulfate ester to produce taurine.

摘要: The present invention provides a catalytic article for the removal of nitrogen oxides and ammonia from exhaust gas of lean combustion engines which heats up quickly to its operation temperature and shows a better performance. Another aim of the present invention is to provide a system for the purification of exhaust gases emitted from lean combustion engines comprising said catalytic article. The catalytic article comprises a corrugated glass fiber substrate, a first washcoat, comprising at least one platinum group metal and/or at least one platinum group metal oxide, supported on a refractory metal oxide support, and optionally at least one binder, wherein said first washcoat is affixed to the glass fibers of the nonwoven corrugated glass fiber substrate, such that areas consisting of particles of the first washcoat alternate with void spaces, and a second washcoat, comprising an SCR catalytically active composition and optionally at least one binder, wherein said second washcoat is affixed to the glass fibers of the nonwoven corrugated glass fiber substrate, and wherein said second washcoat covers the areas consisting of particles of the first washcoat and the void spaces. The SCR catalytically active composition preferably comprises molecular sieves.

The catalyst article for treating exhaust gas from compressed natural gas (CNG) engine comprising: a substrate comprising an inlet end, an outlet end with an axial length L; a first catalytic region beginning at the outlet end and extending for less than the axial length L, wherein the first catalytic region comprises a first zeolite; and a second catalytic region beginning at the inlet end, wherein the second catalytic region comprises a second platinum group metal (PGM) component, a second oxygen storage capacity (OSC) material, and a second inorganic oxide; wherein the second PGM component is selected from the group consisting of palladium, platinum, rhodium or a combination thereof.

摘要: Processes for regenerating an at least partially deactivated catalyst that can include a Group (10) element, an inorganic support, and a contaminant. The Group (10) element can have a concentration of from 0.06 wt % to 6 wt %, based on the weight of the inorganic support. The process can include (I) heating the deactivated catalyst using a heating gas mixture that includes H2O at a concentration >5 mol %, based on the total moles in the mixture to produce a precursor catalyst. The process can also include (II) providing an oxidative gas that includes ≤5 mol % of H2O, based on the total moles in the oxidative gas, and (III) contacting the precursor catalyst at an oxidizing temperature with the oxidative gas for a duration of at least 30 seconds to produce an oxidized precursor catalyst. The process can also include (IV) obtaining a regenerated catalyst from the oxidized precursor catalyst.
