摘要: A method of making bonded SOS substrate with a semiconductor film on or above a sapphire substrate by implanting ions from a surface of the semiconductor substrate to form an ion-implanted layer; activating at least a surface of one of the sapphire substrate and the semiconductor substrate from which the ions have been implanted; bonding the surface of the semiconductor substrate and the surface of the sapphire substrate at a temperature of from 50° C. to 350° C.; heating the bonded substrates at a maximum temperature of from 200° C. to 350° C.; and irradiating visible light from a sapphire substrate side or a semiconductor substrate side to the ion-implanted layer of the semiconductor substrate to make the interface of the ion-implanted layer brittle at a temperature of the bonded body higher than the temperature at which the surfaces were bonded, to transfer the semiconductor film to the sapphire substrate.

摘要: An optical waveguide apparatus having a very simple structure that can modulate a signal light guided through an optical waveguide is provided. A photoresist 13 is applied to an upper side of an SOI film 12, a photoresist mask 14 is formed, and the SOI film in a region that is not covered with the photoresist mask 14 is removed by etching to obtain an optical waveguide 15 having a single-crystal silicon core. Further, a light emitting device capable of irradiating the single-crystal silicon core with a light having a wavelength of 1.1 μm or below is provided on a back surface side of a quartz substrate 20 to provide an optical waveguide apparatus. When the light emitting device 30 does not apply a light, the light guided through the optical waveguide 15 is guided as it is. However, when the light emitting device 30 applies a light to form each pair of an electron and a hole in the irradiated region 16, the light guided through the optical waveguide 15 is absorbed by the pair of an electron and a hole, thereby enabling switching (modulation) for turning ON/OFF an optical signal depending on presence/absence (ON or OFF) of application of the light from the light emitting device 30.

摘要: A mast cell surface antigen, DNA thereof and an antibody against the antigen are provided. The amino acid sequence of this mast cell surface antigen is the translation of the coding region of its DNA. The base sequence of this DNA has been clarified in the following manner. Namely, mast cells obtained by incubating cord blood monocular cells are co-incubated with primary culture of fibroblasts to give connective tissue type mast cells (MC-TC). Then mRNA is extracted from this MC-TC cell extraction and a cDNA library is constructed therefrom. Immunological screening is carried out with the use of anti-MC-TC antiserum and the base sequence of the positive clone thus obtained is identified. Owing to the clarification of the amino acid sequence of this mast cell antigen, it becomes possible to reveal the role of mast cells in the pathology of allergic diseases and thus an antibody against mast cells can be easily obtained.
