Abstract:
Optically clear stretch releasing pressure sensitive adhesive films containing a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive composition and a tacky tab are provided. The pressure sensitive adhesive compositions are formed from elastomeric silicone polymer selected from the group consisting of urea-based silicone copolymers, oxamide-based silicone copolymers, amide-based silicone copolymers, urethane-based silicone copolymers, polydiorganosiloxane polymers, or mixtures of these copolymers. The pressure sensitive adhesive compositions may also contain an MQ tackifying resin. The pressure sensitive adhesive compositions may be used to form adhesive articles.

Abstract:
A process for making UV curable pressure sensitive adhesive compositions by derivatizing an acrylic polymer with a derivatizing agent prepared from a hydroxy-functional acrylate monomer and a diisocyanate. The derivatizing agent typically has a ratio of hydroxy-functional acrylate monomer to diisocyanate greater than about 1:1. Also disclosed are UV curable pressure sensitive adhesives made with the derivatizing agent and methods for adhering substrates with pressure sensitive adhesive compositions.

The present invention provides an underfill film and a sealing sheet that are excellent in thermal conductive property and are capable of satisfactorily filling the space between the semiconductor element and the substrate. The present invention relates to an underfill film having a resin and a thermally conductive filler, in which a content of the thermally conductive filler is 50% by volume or more, an average particle size of the thermally conductive filler is 30% or less of a thickness of the underfill film, and a maximum particle size of the thermally conductive filler is 80% or less of the thickness of the underfill film.
Abstract:
A decal is suitable for application to an aircraft structure that is covered with an incompletely cured base coat of paint. The decal has a polyester film with an adhesive applied to a first side. A release layer is applied to the polyester film and comprises a pattern engaging the adhesive to form a plurality of grooves in the adhesive layer. When the decal is applied to an uncured base coat of paint, offgasses formed during curing and drying of the base coat escape from beneath the decal through the grooves.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a gasket comprising an adhesive sheet and a substrate sheet laminated on one surface of the adhesive sheet, which shows a distortion recovery rate according to the following compression distortion recovery test (I) of not less than 40%: Compression distortion recovery test (I): A 10 mm flat square sample is heated to 80° C., under which conditions a load is applied to compress the sample in the thickness direction such that the thickness thereof becomes 75% of the total thickness of the sample before loading, the load is lifted, the total thickness of the sample is measured 3 hr after unloading, and a distortion recovery rate is calculated according to the following formula: distortion recovery rate (%)=(total sample thickness 3 hr after unloading−(total sample thickness before compression×0.75))/(total sample thickness before compression×0.25)×100.
Abstract:
A dicing sheet base film includes a resin layer (A). The resin layer (A) contains: a norbornene-based resin (a1) that is a thermoplastic resin containing a structural unit derived from a norbornene-based compound; a styrene-based elastomer (a2); and an olefin-based thermoplastic resin (a3) other than the norbornene-based resin (a1) and other than the styrene-based elastomer (a2). The dicing sheet base film suppresses the occurrence of dicing debris, in particular filament-like dicing debris, during the dicing of a cut object without imparting physical energy such as electron rays and γ rays, and has sufficient expandability in the expanding process.
