Abstract:
A patient support apparatus includes a patient support structure, such as a bed frame or mattress or both, that is configured to support a patient in a recumbent position. The patient support structure is configured to provide at least one therapy to a patient. A therapy enabler token is coupleable to the patient support structure. The at least one therapy is disabled when the therapy enabler token is decoupled from the patient support structure and the at least one therapy is enabled in response to the therapy enabler token being coupled to the patient support structure.
Abstract:
A therapy vibration device, for use in increasing blood flow, relaxing muscles and the like in patients, including a support structure, at least one vibration plate coupled to the support structure, and at least one motor coupled to the at least one vibration plate. At least one power source is coupled to the at least one motor and at least one ramp coupled to the vibration plate. At least one railing may also be coupled to the support structure. Additional embodiments include a control system, including at least one payment system, coupled to the therapy vibration device. Alternative embodiments also include an additional therapy device in vibrational communication with the at least one vibration plate.
Abstract:
An apparatus which provides various functions for physical and/or mental relaxation, as well as for health care of a user, and a method of implementing the apparatus, include downloading personal data of the user from a user terminal to a personally customized bed and controlling one or more functions of the personally customized bed based on the personal data.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a vibrator device for introducing vibrations into a person, comprising a carrier that is adapted and provided to contact a person for introducing vibrations into said person, a vibration generator that is adapted and provided to perform a vibration, wherein the vibration generator is pivotably supported about a pivoting axis on the carrier in order to transfer vibrations to the carrier. According to the invention, the vibration generator is elastically supported on the carrier in a plane extending perpendicular to the pivoting axis.
Abstract:
An individually adjustable, automated, washing apparatus, including: a controller arranged for receiving input to a program of at least two steps, respectively having a plurality of variables, and the controller transforms the input into a series of control signals; (B) a wash structure held by a support construction, and the wash structure includes a surface, in contact with a portion of a person to be washed, and this surface has a first system of running water and tactile stimulus members, and the first system is imbedded in said surface, and is in communication with a water source, and is responsive to the signals; and (C) at least one driver of motion of the members, and the at least one driver is driven by at least one item selected from the list: electromechanical motors, water pressure, air pressure, and a pressurized air-water-mixture.
Abstract:
A coin-operated massage table features an intersegmented traction table having a plurality of rollers rotating in clockwise and counter-clockwise directions that travel up and down a patient's back. The patient is lying in a supine position on the table during the massaging process. A control panel is used to increase or decrease the height of the rollers which increases or decreases, respectively, the pressure on the back muscles. The control panel is mounted to the table and is connected to a bill acceptor device which accepts coins, bills, tokens, credit cards or debit cards. The massage table operates for a predetermined amount of time based upon the amount of money the patient inserts in the bill acceptor device. Other optional features of the massage table include a vibration device, and hot and cold and moist supplying devices in the table which are controlled by the control panel. These additional devices may be operated following an initial predetermined payment necessary to actuate the table, or may be operable only upon additional predetermined payments.
Abstract:
A medical system includes a medical apparatus, a computer, a user input device, and at least one feature in communication with and controlled by the computer. The computer is in communication with the user input device, which is configured and arranged to allow a user to purchase the use of the feature. The computer is configured to enable the use of the feature after the user purchases use of the feature.
Abstract:
A battery-powered leg vibration apparatus includes a housing holding a massage unit powered by sealed batteries. A timer and foot presence sensor may manage power to the massage unit motor to conserve power allowing practical use of battery systems in public spaces and hotel rooms.
Abstract:
This disclosure concerns a wallhugger bed with a plurality of mattress retaining brackets secured to one or more corners of the mattress platform to keep the mattress from shifting on the mattress platform during operation of the actuator.
Abstract:
The Massage Chair System and Apparatus with Charging Kiosk includes elements for a massage chair comprised of massage system, a vending system, a charging system, and other advantageous components. The Massage Chair System and Apparatus with Charging Kiosk provide the ability to charge devices during the time a user enjoys a massage in the chair. The System and Apparatus with Kiosk has components including a timer; a power supply; and a kiosk that can attach to a chair or standalone. Once a person inserts money into the massage chair, the kiosk intercepts the amount inserted and turns on the power to the kiosk supplying power to USB ports and inductive charging pads, allowing a user to charge electronic devices.
