Abstract: The mechanism of forming a metal bump structure described above resolves the delamination issues between a conductive layer on a substrate and a metal bump connected to the conductive layer. The conductive layer can be a metal pad, a post passivation interconnect (PPI) layer, or a top metal layer. By performing an in-situ deposition of a protective conductive layer over the conductive layer (or base conductive layer), the under bump metallurgy (UBM) layer of the metal bump adheres better to the conductive layer and reduces the occurrence of interfacial delamination. In some embodiments, a copper diffusion barrier sub-layer in the UBM layer can be removed. In some other embodiments, the UBM layer is not needed if the metal bump is deposited by a non-plating process and the metal bump is not made of copper.

Abstract: A reel shaft sensor is provided for a barcode printer and is applied to a reel shaft of the barcode printer. The reel shaft sensor device includes a plurality of magnetic elements and at least one magnetic sensor. The reel shaft has an end to which a connection member is mounted for coupling the interior of a housing of the barcode printer. The magnetic element is arranged inside the connection member and the magnetic sensor is installed inside the housing of the barcode printer and corresponding in position to the connection member. The magnetic sensor detects a magnetic signal from the magnetic elements that rotates with the reel shaft to determine the rotational speed and angular position of the reel shaft. The device is a small-size, magnetism operating shaft sensor.

Abstract: A carbon ribbon shaft is provided for a barcode printer and includes a shaft rod and at least one first rotation member and one second rotation member. The shaft rod has an end coupled to a housing of the barcode printer. The first and second rotation members are fit over the shaft rod. Arranged between inside of the first rotation member and the shaft rod is a resilient element that allows the first rotation member to effect resilient rotation with respect to the shaft rod. The first rotation member has an outer surface forming sliding-resistant resilient tabs. Arranged between inside of the second rotation member and the shaft rod is a resilient element that allows the second rotation member to effect resilient rotation with respect to the shaft rod. The second rotation member has an outer surface forming sliding-resistant resilient tabs. The surfaces of first and second rotation members receive a carbon ribbon roll of the barcode printer to fit thereon. With the resilient expansion of the sliding-resistant resilient tabs of the first and second rotation members, the carbon ribbon roll is securely fixed on the first and second rotation members to thereby form a carbon ribbon shaft assembly for a modularized carbon ribbon roll.

Abstract: A battery connector for a portable electronic device comprises a seat body and a plurality of elastic pins, the seat body includes a first plate and a second plate perpendicularly formed a side of the first plate, the first plate and the second plate cooperatively enclosing a plurality of assembly grooves to assemble the elastic pins. Each elastic pin includes a first folding portion and a second folding portion connecting with the first folding portion. Abstract: A roller retention device is provided for a barcode printer and includes a base and at least one peeling board, wherein the base is mounted to an enclosure of the barcode printer. The base has a front portion forming at least one first channel for accommodating a rear portion of a label sheet hold-down roller of the barcode printer. The first channel has a peripheral portion forming at least one connection segment. The peeling board has a rear portion forming a second channel which matches with the first channel in order to accommodate a front portion of the label sheet hold-down roller. The second channel has a peripheral portion forming a coupling segment which corresponds to and is fixed to the connection segment of the base, allowing the label sheet hold-down roller of the barcode printer to be retained and accommodated between the first channel of the base and the second channel of the peeling board. The peeling board features the function of peeling the barcode label stickers off a release paper. Thus, a retention device that features both retention of the roller of a barcode printer and peeling of the barcode label stickers is provided.

Abstract: A label tensioning board is provided for a label printer, including a body, at least one shaft, a resilient element, and at least one slide. The body forms a slot for rotatably accommodating the shaft. The resilient element is coupled to a proximal end of the shaft and the proximal end of the shaft is fixed to an enclosure of the label printer to allow for resilient rotation and returning of the body for adjustment of tension. The body forms at least one rail and a stop. The slide slidably engages the rail for sliding movement along the rail. The slide forms a positioning projection for setting a space between the slide and the stop that accommodate and guides the conveyance of a sheet of label paper. As such, a tensioning board featuring both adjustment of label tension and positioning of the label is provided.
