    摘要: A soft feel decorative, textured laminate used for various vertical surfaces of the interior of commercial aircraft. Fire resistant silicone materials are used as a cap layer on various substrates including FR resin impregnated woven glass and naturally high flammability resistance polymer film. The FR-silicone cap layer can be used on various substrates, such as polymeric film, polymeric sheet, foam fabric materials, woven/non-woven and knitted glass. The FR-silicone cap layer can be colored or combined with prints. A clear silicone layer can be laminated on top of a printed silicone layer to protect the print and provide better abrasion resistance. The silicone laminate passes FAA and OEM interior aircraft flammability requirements including heat release, smoke and vertical burn.

    摘要: A sizing composition containing an epoxy film former, a urethane film former, a silane package that includes an aminosilane coupling agent and an epoxy silane coupling agent, a cationic lubricant, a non-ionic lubricant, an antistatic agent, and at least one acid is provided. The epoxy resin emulsion includes a low molecular weight liquid epoxy resin and one or more surfactants. The epoxy resin preferably has an epoxy equivalent weight from 185-192. The sizing composition may optionally contain a methacryloxy silane. The sizing composition may be used to size glass fibers used in filament winding applications to form reinforced composite articles with improved mechanical properties, wet tensile properties, improved resistance to cracking, and improved processing characteristics.

    摘要: An aqueous binder composition for mineral fibres comprises a water-soluble binder component obtainable by reacting glycerol and at least one alkanolamine with at least one carboxylic anhydride in proportions such that the ratio of equivalents of amine groups plus hydroxy groups (NH+OH) to equivalents of carboxy groups (COOH) in the binder component is within the range of about 0.4 to 2.0, glycerol being used in an amount such that the equivalent ratio of glycerol OH groups to total equivalents of amine groups plus hydroxy groups (NH+OH) is 0.1 to 0.9, and, optionally, treating the reaction product with a base.

    摘要: Glass mats for use in building construction are provided. The mats include chopped glass fibers and a formaldehyde-free-curable binder disposed on the glass fibers. The binder includes a binder selected from polyorganic acid-polyol, starch grafted acrylic styrene and acrylic modified polyvinyl acetate, for example, containing a sufficient amount of a hydrophobic additive to improve the hot wet retention of the mat after five minutes of exposure to 80° C. water by at least about 5%.
