摘要: A piezoelectric pump includes a first top plate, a second top plate, a diaphragm, a first side wall, and a second side wall. The diaphragm has a vibrating part to which a piezoelectric element is attached, a frame part, and a connecting part. The connecting part has formed therein a third opening which lets a first pump chamber and a second pump chamber communicate. The frame part has formed therein a fourth opening which communicates with the third opening and also communicates with outside. The piezoelectric pump further includes: in the first pump chamber, an annular first valve provided as spaced from a first opening in a planar view so as to surround the first opening; and in the second pump chamber, an annular second valve provided as spaced from a second opening in the planar view so as to surround the second opening.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a liquid discharge head includes a flexible printed circuit (FPC) connected to piezoelectric elements. The FPC has a first end in the first direction. A wiring layer of the FPC has a first region at the first end and a cover layer covering on a second region. The piezoelectric elements are spaced from each other in a second direction and each has a first electrode on a side surface facing towards the FPC. The first side has a joint surface facing the first region of the wiring layer. The first electrode is electrically connected to the wiring layer at the joint surface. The side surface includes a step portion that is recessed from the joint surface. A portion of the cover layer protrudes into a space adjacent to the step portion.

摘要: A piezoelectric material includes: an oxide containing Na, Ba, Nb, Ti, and Mn, in which the oxide has a perovskite-type structure, a total amount of metal elements other than Na, Ba, Nb, Ti, and Mn contained in the piezoelectric material is 0.5 mol % or less with respect to a total amount of Na, Ba, Nb, Ti, and Mn, a molar ratio x of Ti to a total molar amount of Nb and Ti is 0.05≤x≤0.12, a molar ratio y of Na to Nb is 0.93≤y≤0.98, a molar ratio z of Ba to Ti is 1.09≤z≤1.60, a molar ratio m of Mn to the total molar amount of Nb and Ti is 0.0006≤m≤0.0030, and 1.07≤y×z≤1.50 is satisfied.

摘要: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a read/write device for a hard-disk memory system. The read/write device includes a fixed structure; a membrane region including a first and a second membrane, which are constrained to the fixed structure, and a central portion, interposed between the first and second membranes; a first and a second piezoelectric actuator, mechanically coupled, respectively, to the first and second membranes; and a read/write head, which is fixed to the central portion of the membrane region. The first and second piezoelectric actuators can be controlled so as to cause corresponding deformations of the first and second membranes, said deformations of the first and second membranes causing corresponding movements of the read/write head with respect to the fixed structure.

摘要: A diaphragm for a piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducer (PMUT) is presented having resonance frequency and bandwidth characteristics which are decoupled from one another into independent variables. Portions of at least the piezoelectric material layer and backside electrode layer are removed in a selected pattern to form structures, such as ribs, in the diaphragm which retains stiffness while reducing overall mass. The patterned structure can be formed by additive, or subtractive, fabrication processes.

摘要: An active cooling system and method for using the active cooling system are described. The active cooling system includes a cooling element having a first side and a second side. The first side of the cooling element is distal to a heat-generating structure and in communication with a fluid. The second side of the cooling element is proximal to the heat-generating structure. The cooling element is configured to direct the fluid using a vibrational motion from the first side of the cooling element to the second side such that the fluid moves in a direction that is incident on a surface of the heat-generating structure at a substantially perpendicular angle and then is deflected to move along the surface of the heat-generating structure to extract heat from the heat-generating structure.

摘要: A fluid actuator includes an actuating portion, a piezoelectric unit, a conduction unit, and a levelness regulating portion. The actuating portion includes a first actuating area, a second actuating area, and at least one connecting section between the two actuating areas. The piezoelectric unit includes a first signal area and a second signal area. The two signal areas are provided in the same plane and are isolated from each other by an isolating portion. The piezoelectric unit corresponds in position to the first actuating area of the actuating portion. The conduction unit includes a first electrode and a second electrode. The first signal area of the piezoelectric unit is electrically connected to the first electrode, and the second signal area of the piezoelectric unit to the second electrode. The levelness regulating portion, the piezoelectric unit, and the conduction unit are located on the same side of the actuating portion.
